Why did ____ play him hurt. They should've let him rest until he was healed!!

I honestly grow tired of the “shouldn’t have let him play” argument. If you asked Cam, Tua, any elite level athlete on the planet if they want to go out at 75% then they are saying yes every single time.

These guys are competitors and they always want to be out there. What happened to Tua sucks but it’s football. Injuries do happen. It’s the same for Cam. If you have a star that wants to play, you play him. It’s how sports have always been.

Earlier reports were he asked to stay in the game.  Saban let him.

If we have a mid 1st and this injury along with injury concerns for him in general cause him to fall to us I’d take him in a heartbeat. Worth a shot to get a franchise QB again.

I say Tua stays at Bama for another year. But I’d take him in the 1st all day over anyone anywhere

How many teams would put in their backup quarterback before the end of the first half in a conference matchup? I'd venture to guess no one has done that this year. They were also up 28, not 50. Oklamhoma came back from a 25 point deficit and won just yesterday. Hard to fault Saban on the decision to let him play out the first half. It's very unfortunate though.

Tua hasn't been able to stay healthy in college. I'd be concerned he'd have more trouble staying healthy in the NFL where everyone is bigger stronger and faster. He's also been surrounded by superior talent during his time at Alabama.

I'd be leary of taking him in the draft, even as late as the third round.
