But Moore has multiple 100 yard games and is moving the chains and on pace for 1200 yds and Samuel takes the top off Defenses but cant get an accurate pass to save his life.

i think he'd be a great #3, possibly good #2.   #1, i don't think its gonna happen ever but that's just me thinking.  i have to wait and see like everybody else.   we would have been a lot better off taking ridley

You mean against a trash defense alresdy without their top CB Peterson

This is the NFL.  You cant choose to play the 5 worst teams in the NFL every week

The Packers defense was ranked in the bottom twenties statistically heading into our matchup that week.

Moore notched over 100 yards but we still couldn't get it done with our MVP running back in the red zone to win the game just like against Tampa Bay with Newton.

I think opportunistic playcalling and scheme could help quite a bit with this. Even with how badly Allen has played as of late. I'm just done with the dinosaurs in our coaching staff. We need to move on from these guys that are still living in the 90's and early 2000's.

i don't think samuel should be anywhere near a starting lineup in the nfl.   i could see him being of great use maybe, but not as a wideout.

Moore is on pace to easily do that here though.

Samuels wasn’t a pure WR in college.  We are basically thinking he will be something he never has been in reality IMO.   Looks more of the mold of a Tavon Austin or Percy Harvin at this level.

Only disagree with is Samuel, i think he is an upgraded Ginn(better hands and route running) i think hes the perfect #2 with Newton that is worth 750 to 1k yards avg on a season. Just think hes better then Austin or Harvin thats all, ive seen him catch 5 to 10 balls a game, and you dont do that without decent route running.

you could be right.  they may be better than they're being made to look in the schemes we're running.  it sucks when looking at things in hindsight - shula was better than norv

Dude Moore is on pace for 1200 in his 2nd year playing a tougher position then Ridley. He makes amazing catches , no doubt in my mind hes a 1.

That raz guy may be under the influence. Not many WRs look like all-pros in their second season.

I can agree we need guys to step up and they have underperformed at times. But not even Ridley would look as good as he did if his QB was giving the ball to the other team at such a high rate.

I cannot buy into using Moore and Samuel primarily as scapegoats after how sloppy we looked overall at home. It wasn't just them by a longshot.

Some of those stats are not going to be something that Kyle Allen has as much to do with. There are probably some more detailed metrics that can shed some light on catchable passes, etc but the eye test for our WR corps is not particularly pleasing either. Allen is clearly not a starting caliber NFL QB but he isn't so bad he is making them being as underwhelming as they have been.

I went back and rewatched the game in gamepass last night.

Another thing that stuck out to me.  The first Allen endzone int.  It was intended for Moore but was short.

Moore was within a few yards of the defender who picked it.

Moore just sat there.  Didnt even make a play on the ball nor made a play to make a defensive play.  His body language, he just looked disinterested.

This new WR coach is trash.

Ricky Proehl leaving our coaching staff hurt us BIG time. I say fire Hostler & give Coach CLUTCHery a chance.

I always thought this board kind of overrated Proehl's coaching, but I'd have to agree he's probably better than what we have now.

Are his sons still in school? I thought I'd seen that at least one of them graduated.

I actually do think Samuel could turn into a good receiver, but he's got to be taught to fight for the ball, and he's got to have the will to fight for the ball. Right now, neither of those things look to be true.

I am not sure if he isn't fighting for it now that he is likely to. That really shouldn't be something as a third year NFL guy you should have to be taught.

IMO, he is just a utility player and we need to draft/sign another legit WR to be getting more of his snaps.

I'm blanking, have we ever tried Samuel at returns?

I still think ultimately, DJ Moore is probably better as a complementary receiver. We likely still need someone else as our main load bearer.

Would previously have been happy with  Jarius Wright at number three, but not this year. Maybe Chris Hogan can do that if he stays healthy.
