I’m right there in that boat with you buddy. I thought Richardson was a class guy based on what I knew, which admittedly wasn’t much that matters. Was extremely disappointing to be confronted with a lot of evidence that he seems to be a giant douche. Now grateful I’m not giving him undue respect based on a facade.

Hoping Tepper turns out better in any number of ways.

I am pretty sure Tepper is a giant douche, as well. Most people that get to that level of wealth in the field he is in are not known for being nice people.

It's fine. He doesn't have to be a nice guy.

They're definitely stories from his past that lend to that description.

You know what?

After the Cosby thing, I don’t know why I would have any faith that anyone with more than 50 bucks in the bank and a measurable Q score above mine (-42) isn’t a total jerk hole.

I fully expect to eventually find out Tom Hanks sniffs paint thinner off the belly buttons of enslaved orphans from Elbonia.

While eating panda meat sandwiches.

RIP human decency.

I'm not in any way defending what he did to lose his ownership That was disgusting. I totally lost respect for JR during the strike/lockout in 2010 with the way he treated the team and coaches and his stupid pie chart. But he did some good things too. He paid to get every member of the organization to that Super Bowl. He helped the Olsen family by covering costs for TJ's heart surgery and supplying his plane for them to use. There are players who, to this day, adore the man like Smitty and Thomas Davis because he believed in them. And remember, he had been an owner for only 8 years at that Super Bowl. He was probably in awe of Robert Kraft so, yeah, he was probably bragging.

I hear both sides and not a fan of JR really any more, but grateful he brought a team to the Carolinas.

I loved Bill as an announcer and there hasn’t been anyone better, but his relationship with previous ownership is well documented to be sour. So take it from the source it could be one sided, but again it wouldn’t surprise me if Jr did that

Well if it makes you feel any better humans were never decent. Just a bunch of supposedly intelligent apes, acting pretty much like apes.

Yeah saw the recent documentary about him. Never even knew about his role in convincing Congress to keep finding public television when they were set to shut it down early on.

Maybe he was the last truly decent public figure and now we’re just getting what we deserve.

Yeah, that isn't surprising. Even bad people aren't all bad.

Thanks for reminding me of this. You are right, people are complicated and most of us have our good moments and our bad.

    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
    • I sacrifice greatly, even to this day, and should have that kind of money by the third quarter of 2026. I saved money to free up my time, and by next year, I won't be spending money to save time, I should have all the time in the world to figure out how to spend (and invest) even more money. Not tryna preach, but I have been taught to make Proverbs 13:22 a guiding princple. God has blessed me to be in the company of some influential people. As a result, I'm on my way to legitimate generational wealth.
