People admittedly rooted against him and maybe are satisfied now that he is benched and the team doesn’t have a starting QB again.

Imagine rooting against a player on your favorite team, cause a poster politically disagreed with you liked them. REALLY?!?!

I agree.

In my vast years as a football fan, I have found its very hard to compete a pass while getting sacked/pressured. Allen is among leaders in many categories- pressure, sacked, and hurries.

Carolina is 8th in QB hits, 2nd in sacks.  Kyle Allen directly causes many of his own sacks.

We haven't had a starting QB this entire year, if you factor in Newton being injured.  Kyle Allen looked good against Arizona and people deemed him the future of the franchise.  As he continued to get worse and worse, yet the defense won the games for us..the narrative changed to "all he does is win" and "even if Cam comes back healthy, you stay with Allen".

The Allen fanbase desperately wanted to ignore the fact the team won in spite of Allen.  Not because of.  We weren't rooting for him to lose.  I'd point out his low passing, his low accuracy, and I'd get mass poo'ed.  Because.."all he does is win".

Well the defense stopped bailing him out, and Kyle Allen continued to play worse.

As an Allen fan, it is just hard to get hyped about Cam who had a season ending injury in half of a preseason game.   Or about Grier who looked completely overwhelmed and green.  Yeah starting him now makes zero sense, just asking for trouble.

So who else can we get behind except Allen right now?  At least he destroyed the Saints (twice) and destroying the Saints is the key to win me over.

Wait..are we talking about Allen or Grier?

Both fit that mold.

Do you honestly see anything about Allen at the moment that shows you anything other he is going to end up 1-2 in his Panthers career versus them?

He's lost seven straight games, man. What in the world are you seeing?

Allen still has fans? Lol. And when were these two saints destructions you speak of? I only remember beating some backups in a game that didn't matter

He's just referring to Kyle playing really well against them in the first game this year, which is legitimately true. Still, that Kyle Allen hasn't made an appearance for a while.

I mean.. Destruction is a strong word for a loss

Lol. Yeah, I would agree with that.

It doesn't matter anymore. Kyle's confidence is not what it was and there is no real risk of starting Grier. Worst case scenario is that he turns out to be good. We all know this is about draft position now.
