Those Kyle Allen wins early really hurt us. We should honestly have a top 3 pick the way we played when Kyle came back down to earth.

Yeah, but we also got fortunate in not winning the Rams and Bucs games Week 1 and Week 2.  All in all, I think we did pretty good to be drafting as high as we are.

What has Tua done in college .. one half of good football in a Championship game?

There won't be a better QB available to us than Tua in the foreseeable future

CMC will make sure we win too many games to get Lawrence/Fields in 2021 (will be the top 2 picks), and finding a franchise QB in free agency or the trade market is virtually impossible.

He's a bit of a gamble with his health, but if that checks out, he's one of the best QB prospects over the past decade.

Moving up from 7 to 4 is a small price to pay.

Cam. He's not really injury prone now. He just faked injury so Panthers could be bad enough to hire an offensive Head Coach like McCarthy.

No reason to take the risk on Tua.  Instead, take the risk on Cam.  If Cam flames out, then we have another terrible year and get a shot at Lawrence.

Draft OT 1st round because that's most important in protecting franchise QB.  What good is franchise QB if you send him out to be eaten by wolves?

Even if Cam flames out, we have way too much talent to ever go 1-15 or 2-14.  Trevor Lawrence isn't happening unless we trade CMC and Luke.

CMC, DJ Moore, Luke, Brian Burns, Mario Addison, with a hungry new coach, it's just not going to happen.

You have to tank on purpose to be bad enough for Lawrence, and we're not going to be doing that next year.  Even Kyle Allen is a competent QB who can win you a few games.

If Cam someone ends up being healthy and back to his old self, we can always trade Tua.

Home Away
Detroit Lions Minnesota Vikings
Denver Broncos Kansas City Chiefs
Oakland Raiders Los Angeles Chargers
Chicago Bears Green Bay Packers
Arizona Cardinals Washington Redskins
Atlanta Falcons (Div.) Atlanta Falcons (Div.)
New Orleans Saints (Div.) New Orleans Saints (Div.)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Div.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Div.)

I think you are overestimating our defense.  The Bears and Redskins games will be the toughest to lose but the rest are losses with this defense.

We are one injury to CMC next year from being bengal level bad.

Bengals would have beaten us today, with ease. There’s not a single team in the NFL that we would have beaten last week and this week.

Yeah but Perry Fewell is our coach, Scott Turner (Mike Shula but with an even dumber father) is our OC, and our team is checked out and not even trying

We'll have a real head coach next year who tries to motivate them to win and good young talent

We're not going 1-15 or 2-14

Great point on the D. We are the second worst D to the Dolphins by only 20 points. Since they gave up 59 points week 1, that would mean that since week 1, we were the WORST D in the NFL.

Since Boston, McCoy, Bradberry, Addison and Irvin are all FAs one has to wonder how we will be better on D. Well at least it means that we likely have to spend $30M on Short and Poe, SMH.

Seeing as how we have to draft OL to make that unit better, our D could be worse and that’s saying something.

The defense being bad was not personnel but piss poor coaching and planning. That will be fixed.

No need to tear down a house with a leaky roof. You renovate it and make it better.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
