I honestly don't give a singly flying fug about Tepper's other business, pal.

And if he doesn't have the financial, mental, or emotional capability to run two business independently and simultaneously, then he ain't the High Flying Genius that you Tepper Hero Squad members have previously made him out to be.

I never said anything about Teppers other business. Again, fire your managers and see how the business floats.  NFL GMs and Coaches don't grow on trees. There is a LARGE chance we downgrade from Rivera (I wanted him fired). You're irrationally reacting

Neither does anybody else. Never said he guidance is "awesome". It's pretty dang obvious the Pittsburgh gm is coming after his contract is over. They aren't even negotiating lol.

Thing is we haven't seen many others, because he has been here for 13 of 25 seasons without back to back winning seasons. When he was fired he got zero interest from other teams. He is a JR yes man and now a Tepper yes man. Those are just cold, hard facts.

And I don't disagree. My point, he is better, NOW then what is available. Tepper is probably just waiting for his guy. Hurney is the guy to run it until then

Hurney is not better than what is available now and the fact that he has struggled to get interviews anywhere else is proof of that. Hurney is simply a scout playing the role of GM.

My great fear is that is exactly what Tepper wants.  For examples, see Dan Snyder/Washington and Jerry Jones/Dallas.

And now, for a deeper understanding, also remember that during his hiatus he didn't even get a sniff from another team as a damn SCOUT.

    • They will be if they extend Young but I don't think we're there just yet. Morgan and Canales are tied and I don't believe Tepper is going to go look for a new front office for Bryce as things stand.
    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
