That's awesome news!! Rhule was the one guy I did not want because of that "rebuild" fact. Sounds like we will be waisting CMC's time and talent even more for the next few years. Stupid. Might as well trade him, Cam, and Kuechly and commit to a full rebuild. No point in half assing it. I feel like if they are REALLY going for a rebuild which all signs indicate they are I feel like they will trade Cam 100% even if its just for a 3rd or 4th rounder commit to some scrub at Qb for the year so we can suck ass and get a top 3 pick next year. Doesn't make sense to half-ass commit to a rebuild.

This is what a coach who is trying to rebuild would do! Therefore not a complete rebuild!!!!

Pretty much the entire staff coaching staff is gone. Expected, but okay.

Our trainer is gone.

Our chief salary cap specialist / contract negotiator is gone.

It's expected that a lot, and maybe all, of our scouting department is gone.

And our GM still might be gone.

This team is set to look unrecognizable next year.

So when is Mixon gone?

I have been saying for over a year now that the Panthers are going to be a VERY different team than what many of us have been used to over the past number of years.

Hoped for this since Tepper bought the team, hopefully Marty is shown the door quickly.

His literal title was hedge fund manager.  My analogy is spot on.

only if you don't understand my post, ie why most hedge funds don't really do much actual hedging.

I mean if you're only going on the fact he hedges his statements and the correlation with his title without any real understanding of what hedge funds actually do, sure.

Right now, I'm reeeeeally hoping Kevin Colbert is coming aboard at some point.

Rhule knows how to set up a college program, but not an NFL one. He'll need help in that department. Colbert would be ideal.

Two other possibilities from his time in New York: Marc Ross, and...Jerry Reese.

Colbert coming in with this hire would be ideal.

I would be giddy.

I would.

There isn't a single piece, on either line, that I can look at and think that is a good building block.  If you can, please name them.

Dennis Daily,Brian Burns , Tre Turner ( had a bad year but still young) Greg Little

Sigh... does everything have to be a deep dive?  No.

“Hedge fund manager hedges statements in new venture!  Film at 11.”

Lighten up Francis.

Burns doesn't play on D Line.

Turner has been underwhelming for 2 straight years, and will likely be a cap casualty after 20'

Daley and Little are hopefuls at best, they will be here, but have shown me nothing to think they will be great players.
