Trying this hard to insult Rivera for no reason is nauseating. Former players are regularly brought in by teams to assist position coaches and do quality control. Take a look around the league. It's how they get started and it's not meaningless.

Here, learn something.

Would you like for all of us to apologize for being so far beneath you?

I'd like for people to attempt to know what they are discussing. instead of fishing for pie.

Joe Brady was a quality control assistant for the Saints last year. Meaningless role I guess.

Always like Buckner. Seems like he is doing well as a coach. Gruden bringing in friends lol. Never lined up well with us being able to have him here as a coach. I hope he gets a look from us.

I thought Marinelli might get a look.  He was Phil Snow's head coach in Detroit.

They were part of that team that went 0-16 though, so...

I don't really know enough about Marinelli to go one way or the other, I just thought it was very Grudenish to get rid of someone who did well last year to bring in a bigger name that you have a history with. Unless there is behind the scenes issues, I would love to see Buckner get a shot with the new crew here.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
