CBS sports projects Simmons post Luke.

Luke's retirement really does complicate the retool / rebuild and trying to figure out FA and draft priorities.

As of right now I'd rank our non-QB position hole urgency as follows:

DT / MLB / OL / S / CB

I am assuming we re-sign Bradberry.

Hoping Little will be healthy and develop into a solid player.

Given the paucity of veteran leaders on our D, I'm guessing they'll try to get a veteran MLB in FA (Klein? Littleton?) to pair with a rookie drafted on day 2.

QB of course is too messy to know what will happen. I'm still hoping Cam is healthy and the team and Cam will find some win-win agreement for both sides...

Need to stock up on popcorn. This won't be a boring off-season!!

Yet some people on here have somehow legitimately suggested we should go WR at 7 lol

Never fails to amaze me what some people think this team needs

Yes, I've seen draft analysts suggest WR too. (Forget who... but definitely 1 or 2 have done it).

If we play 4-3, I believe they will roll with shaq at MLB

I feel were closer to being a good 3-4 defense than a 4-3. In a 4-3  your back ro a year ago where the pass rush ranked near the bottom plus your without peppers and put burns in the worst possible position. Asking him to bulk up would likely make him lose that trademark speed and bend. Also ur saying f u to Irving, miller and hayes. You have more blocks for the 3-4  unless your playing to lose.

Outside of Moore we have no legitimate wideout.

Curtis Samuel is merely a gadget player.

WR is high on the gigantic list of team needs

I want Simmons over everybody now

Summary - Isaiah Simmons is a blue chip prospect with unparalleled versatility. His unbelievable length and athletic gifts make him a sensible fit for a number of positions, including MIKE, SAM, SS and a nickel LB in coverage. Simmons has explosive qualities and will be an asset vs. the run and pass alike. He's a game changing player who should be coveted as a true 3-down linebacker/hybrid defender who can be the pivotal chess piece in a weekly defensive game plan

yeah sign me up for some of that. 6'4 230... can do it all.

He is literally what we thought we were gonna get outta Shaq . A guy that can literally play safety and linebacker and not be a liability at either . We could even line this guy up at d end and let him rush the passer man I’m telling you this dude is versatile . Never seen anything like it .
