The Perfect Draft (If Cam Comes Back 100% Healthy)

He has been very hit and miss with third round picks historically. Not terrible. Especially at drafting DE’s in the 3rd.

That's in general for the squad.  We freaking drafted Kugzila a pick before Dave Bakhtiari.  I remember wanting Bakhtiari bad and typically don't sour looking at the past...but holy crap was that a miss.

Like the draft but I personally would change the first two picks, 1. Derrick Brown DT and 2. Tyler biasdaz C. We only are going to have one DT signed before FA and the draft so it will easily be our thinnest position. Center is just as important as LT imo and a franchise one can be had in the second. Let Little play LT and move Paradis to LG, without having to snap the ball before blocking his play may improve drastically and he can help Little. These moves will leave LT as the only questionable position on the line making it a pretty good unit. If Little is not ready bring in an older guy that is a pass blocking specialist to play in front of Little for a year.

Hurney didn't draft Kugbila.

You're probably thinking of Amini Silatolu being taken ahead of Cordy Glenn, but that was in the second round where it's generally acknowledged Marty is a walking disaster.

Truth.  Our CB2, NB, and Reid are coming back but all are spotty and inconsistent .  Luke & Jackson still have a lot of potential though.

Stinky indeed.

I personally dont think the secondary is bad if Tre is brought back and the Dline is fixed. If I was gonna pay top $ to a CB and Bradbery wanted top 5 money and is not retained i would look at Quinton Dunbar and try to get him for 12 annually. Dont think the Redskins are going to afford him.

I know, that's why I said in general as a team.

We drafted Kugbila, then the very next pick was DB to the Pack.

Greg Little has (1) never played OG in college or in the pros and (2) doesn’t have the mental want-to to play an even MORE physical position than he’s already playing.

Little was soft in college and is still soft in the pros. He’s always had amazing talent and he got by on that in college but his attitude has and will continue to hold him back in the pros. He’s no longer automatically more talented than the guy he’s looking up across anyone. In fact, he’s more than likely LESS talented than that guy.  That’s when desire and work-ethic come in, somethings of which Little has always been lacking.

Yeah I get that. Guess what I was trying to say is Little on rookie deal moved to guard if he wants to play he needs to step up if not oh well.

What exactly defines Cam as being ‘healthy’

i don’t know a NFL player that is 100% healthy. Not one

what is the litmus test...can he run..can he throw...does running even matter in this Brady offense

honestly, with all this poo, I’m surprised newton hasn’t asked for his release

luck, who did far less, got far more respect from the Colts and it’s shameful

    • It's been many a year since we were in December talking about how games mattered for something other than draft order. This crazy, mixed up, unpredictable, maddening, uplifting and teeth gnashing season has certainly not been boring.
    • If you look at Brown and Horn's contracts, expect to pay above what he is likely actually worth. This is the Panthers suckage tax. Ultimately, much like Derrick Brown, he has steadily improved over time and that's what you want out of your young first round draft picks. He was one of the biggest and most important question marks coming into the season and he has answered it conclusively. He is "the guy" at LT. Great news, one less position of extreme importance to have to attempt to remedy.
    • This is maddening because, well, it's so up and down. When the kid's on, he can be great. When he's mediocre, we can still win based on a strong running game and good defense. When he's bad, and over his history he's this more than not, then it's a sad show that no one could win with. How can anyone know what is going to happen right now? Really. It's like picking one flake in a snow globe and shaking it once a week... there is no telling where it will end up. Things I did see on Sunday from Bryce: his teammates love him; he can make the big throws with good protection and good effort from his receivers. He isn't afraid to run. He can rise up against the best in competition (but he can also sink to the level of bad competition).  All I can say is if Canales goes with an aggressive game plan for Bryce that leans on a hot-hand running game, the team can beat anyone. If there's any wishy-washy play calling, then Bryce melts and couldn't beat anyone.  Maybe the person Bryce needs to win over more than anyone is Canales.
