Could this guy be the next Panther starting MLB?

In the 3-4, we need another ILB.  In the 4-3, we need Shaq's skills outside.  I don't see him reading nearly as well as Luke or most MLBs.

Shaq was paid as a ILB. He would be the only one to play MLB in the 4-3. He would have the experience and speed but I agree he's a better fit for the 3-4 teamed up with another ILB. That would allow him to blitz more. Something he's really good at.

I guess as short as your IQ. Saying this guy could be next Luke if given a chance. Then Shaq got paid like 13 mil a year and say he is not even first rd talent.

You see, I tried to be nice to you.  I realize that you are probably challenged to redeem yourself in some way because I imagine that your social skills and personality flaws have not served you well in life. But please do not think you are winning battles of wits--you feel the need to be rude, insulting--never in a clever way.  So please, never assume the position that you are smarter than someone you don't know---It is rarely the case.

How a person is paid under Rivera has nothing to do with how he will be used under Rhule.  Thompson is not the next franchise MLB--if he plays there for long, he will be removed and put back outside.  While I do not know for sure--neither do you--so just stop with the act.

Could be but I see Shaq as our MLB in the 3-4 which we should still run.

I see your point, and he was inside to free up the best LB in the NFL---because he was not getting DT help....That is what I assumed and might be wrong, but it is fun to discuss this intelligently--and you are that.   However, that was under RR and I would bet that Rhule does not use him the same way--he may be forced to, but in the long run, I do not see him staying there.  We shall see soon.

Personally, I think he will be consumed as a 4-3 MLB.  I watched him weak side and he seemed natural.  But watch some tape when playing beside Luke (I know, not fair) and watch their first steps.  Luke rarely missed and he was faster.  Shaq overshot the gap a lot, backstepped on run plays on occasion, and took some questionable angles.  I am no expert, but I do not get the contract if that is the plan.  Much better on the outside where his reads are different---yes, they played him there--alongside the best MLB in the game--and we gave up 5.2 yards per carry.  Yikes.

Hard to really compare because Shaw never played inside except last year. In my eyes he was a bright spot on a bad defense. Keeping him inside would give the defense range while playing him outside leaves a void.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
