Taylor Lewan, Joe Staley, Terron Armstead, David Bakhtari, Eric Fisher, Riley Reiff, Duane Brown, Jason Peters, Ronnie Stanley, Laremy Tunsil, Isiah Wynn, and Dion Dawkins are the list of LTs on teams that made the playoffs.

Lewan, Staley, Fisher, Reiff, Brown, Stanley, Tunsil, and Wynn were all drafted in the 1st round.

Dawkins was drafted in the 2nd round, Armstead was drafted in the 3rd round, Bakhtari was drafted in the 4th round, and Peters was undarfted.

I think it says something that playoff teams are making such large investments in LT but I'm not running the organization.

Not out of the realm of possibility.  If rhule looks at tape and likes what he has in little, daley, and moton it's very possible that he sticks with them and focuses on the lack of run stopping ability we have. Fwiw, I think center is the biggest glaring need on oline.  Young tackles need to have the center line up their blocking schemes, and paradis was clearly lacking in that compared to kalil.

We wasn't a 13 point offense last year thoe..

You're still not great putting a rookie at left tackle either on paper.. No matter who you put at left tackle (unless they sign a vet) either rookie or 2nd year player they still need to develop.. And it still doesn't look great on paper..

They were willing to put the 5th best LT on the starting line last year who couldn't handle speed rushers.  Was okay at bull rushers but gave up when the end beat him on the edge.  Just think what Atlanta and TB will do to him this year.  So when you can get a real value at LT you take him instead of saying lets hope Little grew up over the offseason.

The team has a perpetually terrible offensive line.  Par for the course.  I think rebuilding the defense has to take precedence vs. reaching for o line.  We just lost a generational talent and one of the best MLBs to ever play the game.  Even if he wasn't playing very good his presence alone made the defense better.  We are going to have to replace Luke with a crowd of other talented young players.

My personal opinion - we need an elite receiver early.
