not really any surprises there.

stewart never practices on wednesday. landon johnson has spent his whole time in carolina hurt (THAT is a waste of money and cap space, friends).

i saw this tweet from bill voth...

Both #Panthers FBs B. Hoover & T. Fiammetta miss practice. John Fox won't elaborate on what team will do at FB, but they "have plans".about 2 hours ago from Tweetie

i wonder what "plans" they have?

Are they ever going to take Stewart off the injury list?
not this year.

doesn't really matter. probably better if he does stay on it.

tom brady spent all of his career on it until the first game of last year and you know how that turned out....

Lorenzo Neal FTW!
i hope so. gantt said that they didn't bring anyone in so either the plans involve someone on the team already or they know who they want and it's just a matter of getting him here.

we'll probably know tomorrow.

problems that hoover is having this year, we need someone to come in and help. fiammetta isn't ready for it from what i can tell.

how important are the FBs to the Panthers rushing attacK?
ummmm...very.

hoover gets as much credit as the oline for their production last year.

if you didn't notice, we used a 4th round pick on a FB this year. you don't do that unless you really rely on them.

all power running teams have to have a solid FB helping pave the way.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
