This. I don't care that they moved on. They didn't have to systematically screw the guy. He should have been out with Rivera. That was the plan. Us and the media heard that from "sources". Why then play coy games? Cam should have been released months ago.

Nobody would be mad at that not the fans or Cam. That would have been honest from the gut leadership.

To be fair, if they released him before they new coach got a chance to do his evaluation, we would have critized him for doing it too quickly.

You've got nothing for me. Nothing logical anyways.

Rest your fingers

You say the Panthers should have claimed Cam was healthy and strong. And you also say that the team should be honest.

Clearly your definition of logic and your definition of honest are pulled straight from the BS department dictionary.

Frankly, I'd be happy with Jordan Love in return at this point. 6'4", mobile, 3000+yrds.

If he is there in the 2nd i say we jump, but most likely not happening.  Kinda looks like Cam

New, fresh, so much promise, high ceiling.

Watching a rookie learn and grow and become a good/great QB?! Priceless, worth the $.

Sign me up. Just what this team needs, a fresh new start at the most important position on the field.

Physically fits the part. Great 3000+ yards vs stiff competition.

Some analysist have him as the 3rd best and a top ten pick. Yes, or Herbert, definitely.

Excitement. Future.

What about Tua?

Thrown in the towel on him?

Be honest now...

Anyone other than Teddy, ehh?

You're convinced Love, Herbert or Tua would be better?

Now, out of the box, Herbert has physical advantages over Teddy, obviously. Tua would bring star power but at this point I think he's equal to Teddy as a rookie and would surpass him by his second year health abiding.

Physically Love has advantages but I'd put Teddy above Love as far as a veteran QB with more skill but Jordan has way more upside and untapped potential.

It's all about the next 10-12 years. Rookie QBs give coaches a safety net on expectations too. Exactly why new coach= QB draft pick and on from there.

Excellent recap of the hypotheticals, well done.

Which of those QB's are you predicting beats out Teddy for the starting job?

I think there was many reasons Cam was released .  A new coach, a new system , a new OC played into the decision . The new OC was familiar with Bridgewater and his system . The pandemic shortened the learning time for Cam . Cam really was not a team player . He was the star and face of the team and everyone looked for him to lead .  Tepper wanted a team player and a new culture for the franchise . I think he made the decision to move on more than Rhule . I think Rhule would have coached Cam as he stated not  knowing at the time Cam would be released .  Older veteran players were let go who looked up to Rivera and made judgements on the new coach .  Its a new team now and its time to rebuild .  Its going to be a wild ride so sit back and enjoy . Keep pounding
