Oakland was a maybe game for Carolina. Given they’re here week 1 I think Carolina starts 1-0

Haven't you heard? The Panthers are a dumpster fire. They've already lost all 16 games and we are planning to burn down the stadium after the season is over.

Why would anyone want to burn down the stadium if we just secured the 1st overall pick?

I’ll be celebrating and using all the bottles of champagne we didn’t end up using in San Fran

The Raiders weren't great last year but they were decent. I definitely wouldn't chalk this up as an easy win.

Raiders get saints week 2. So to get Carolina week 1 is kind of a must win or they’re most likely looking at that dreaded 0-2 start

This was one of my maybe wins on the schedule.  One of a select few as most were definite losses.

Gonna be a weird season for me as a fan. Will have Lawrence in the back of my mind the entire year unless/until we win enough games that the first overall pick is out of our reach. Would rather we not go into the last few games eliminated from the playoffs and needing to lose for the first overall pick, because I know we’d win some of those meaningless games to drop to like the 5-10th pick. I’ll be rooting for the wins to come early of course starting with that Raiders game but I don’t have super high hopes for the playoffs this year so preparing myself mentally for like 4 wins and no Lawrence and possibly no Fields either.

    • Them playing behind a couple more seasoned guys until they get familiar with coverage and pace of play is a good thing though. We really can use them to spell the other guys, and in situational ball especially with Ransom on possible run/blitzing downs.
    • They fuged him over so bad to help cover their bad judgement. About time he got a little something to wrk with.
    • I think completion percentage is a bit of a overinflated stat for a qb too. People place to much stock into it. So many factors to consider with it : receivers, how many attempts are made deep, the defense etc all play a roll in it. When it’s considerably low 50% or less the QB accuracy can come into question. But I don’t think it’s necessarily one of the better percentages to put so much importance into for that position. General effectiveness is far more indicative of the QB you have. First downs, 3rd and 4th down conversions, points scored and clutch plays IMO is how you grade a QB. Always bothered the poo out of me how people downed Cam for his completion percentage and that’s what they used to disregard him as an all time great. Dude damn near averaged 3tds to 1 turnover a game and was an obvious difference maker for us.
