Yes. If he hadn’t of gotten lucky on this play our new QB wouldn’t have thrown 200 yards against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

There's nothing lucky about being down 12 points in the 4th quarter and leading us to a comeback. Unfortunately the coaching staff decided to take the ball out of his hands on the last drive, if not I have a strong belief he would have led the Panthers on another scoring drive.

They took the ball out of his hands because he was bad. He only scored the long TD because of horrible defense and Robby Anderson’s legs. 
 

None of it really matters though because we need to lose every damn game this season.

I've been a Panther fan from the beginning and I've seen Panther Qb stat lines look a lot worse than that win or lose.

Looking at Next Gen stats for Teddy and Newton shoes intended air yards and completed air yards in favor of Teddy by a decent amount. Teddy was 10th in completed air yards to Newton at tied for about 17th.
