Do you remember Rodney Peete? How about Steve Beuerlein?

Honestly before my time as a football fan. I came on board during Jake. Lived through Moore and Clausen before Cam made things exciting again.

I'm not saying he is or isn't.  My point was that the team thinks he has the chance to be one.

A lot of posters around here were of the opinion that he was only signed to be a bridge QB, but his contract said otherwise.

That's actually exactly what his contract says -structured to only have $5 MM of dead money in year 3, a savings of $21 MM if they cut/trade him. His salary is also in the bottom half of QBs.

Wow, yeah that’s a great comparison. Let’s compare Teddy to two career backups in Moore and Clausen. Teddy was a 1st rounder and during his time at Louisville, many compared him to Aaron Rodgers. Of course he’s not Rodgers but the kid was highly touted since college. I hate when internet warrior have nothing else to provide so the name calling begins.

Just to be clear, you’ve been name calling me and others since yesterday. So you have no room to call people “internet warriors”.

You may be biased but you do more than poo and pount at least, @uncfan888 is eating paste and thinks that I am chuck.

I take constant breaks from the forum, especially during the off season. I hear a lot about this Chuck and feel pretty blessed to have missed whatever was going on with his original account.

    • well, players dictating things only works if you have the right collection of players to dictate things.  and in all honesty, not sure if we can answer if we do or don't as fans given......there are no Thomas Davis types around that we know are actually about X and Y (based on years showing it).  Collective team is too new to us to know what these dudes are really about in terms of players carrying the burden of culture.
    • Moore can be put in one of the vet spots on IR. No one will be checking for him at the start of the season. But I would be very perturbed if we tried to go all Gettlemagic and stash an obvious talent like Horn on practice squad like we did Butker. If we can get through this year, next year it will be obvious Moore and AT will be gone, starting namely with AT's contract.
    • Culture change comes from the top down, not from drafting a 3 and no D guard. I doubt Lamelo is gonna take his cues from this 20yr old kid lol. If Brandon Miller couldn’t change the culture with how good he is and how much he hustles on both ends, Kon Knueppel sure as hell ain’t changing it. Ace Bailey by all accounts is also a great teammate and hard worker, btw, who was drafted by a team he supposedly didn’t want to go to yet he immediately bought in. And he’s got actual length and tools on both ends of the floor. I feel this pick is going to age like milk rather quickly.
