An issue with OL coaching

I mean these issues are being brought to light mainly cause both the bears and Saints have good DLs. That along with new staff, weird off-season, no pre-season, and not enough practice. Biltzing seem to have benefits too on this unit and teddy.

You don't have to blitz when the guy who's supposed to be blocking your DL just steps out of the way.

Is it coaching or the player? Also it could be the play because some plays require the linemen to move to a certain position but from what you are saying I don’t think that’s the case.

Reed is a back up to the back up who honestly shouldn’t be starting. Greg little is in his 2nd season but hasn’t seen a lot of playing time so he is expected to mess up some.

maybe this is a big problem but I don’t think it is a big issue. We have had a banged up offensive line all year. We have below average players starting and we don’t have any chemistry because of the injuries. Despite all that our offensive line has done pretty good and hasn’t given up a lot of sacks.

It happens because they move first, ostensibly to get themselves in position but since their opponents haven't yet moved or committed themselves, they actually wind up taking themselves out of position and creating a wide open lane.

I think the technical term is social distancing . . .

Its due to good DL stunting, biltzing, and the offense line call. Panthers have shown weakness and get confused. That free guy maybe due to a line call, the RB must pick free guy up. If OG has only the inside guy and a free guy comes, he still must keep his responsibility. This system and both OL/OC are new. Adjustments and assignments are different form John Matsko. They seem to trust the OTs far more and rarely give help to anyone outside of chip.

They don't have to stunt.

In the plays I've watched, the defensive linemen didn't even move. Our guys just very helpfully stepped right out of their way.

I dont have access to line call each play or system. Sometimes the call is to let a DL come free, it happens all the time on read option edge. I memeber at times Paradis/Kalil had to reach a free guy on the other side of the earth and I couldnt understand that at all. Plus at weird times if a great player is beating you silly, to mess with his mind you dont block him...but get the play off. All I can said is those OLmen have a key responsibility and the coach has given the order. Be a question to ask Rhule, but our reporters are piss poor question askers, besides Josh Kelin.
