These numbers are interesting.  I've been impressed by STO in his limited snaps and would love to see more of him, especially if he can start to cut in to some of Elder's snaps.  I know he was raw coming out, but has looked good so far and has a ton of potential.

Also, notable is Carter.  And at this point, I am all for just plugging in Carter and/or Taylor for Whitehead at all times, especially Taylor.  He has been impressive when he's been in.

And no surprise with Moton or Burns.  Burns is the effing man.

Thanks for the post! Nice to see YGM so high in his limited snaps. I think we have our bookends of the future, if we get a 3 tech and a MLB our front 7 will be nice. If we get some db depth maybe the wrs will be covered long enough to get coverage sacks we are missing out on this season.

Agreed on all points.  The front 4 is looking really poised to dominate in the years to come...  but, yeah, we need the backend to be able to at least just hold up a bit longer.

We're really missing YGM right now

Yea we are however our db situation is causing the wrs to get open too quick. It would be insane the amount of sacks we would have if we had Bradberry, a MLB, and a healthy Rasul. Not that far off though, looking real promising exspecislly with all this free agent and late round picks that have developed into starters.

Lol. Have to stop at 12 before you realize that the rest is just because there has to be a top 16. I mean, Elder’s picture is of our buddy Taysom scoring right in front of Elder. Nice highlight.

I mean, could they not actually find a snap of Oliver with the Panthers? Have to take his inclusion with a grain of salt if he’s played so little the only picture they have is college.

How is Chinn nowhere on here, cannot take the list serious when I see Paradis on here. Would've been better to throw Slye and Charlton on there, as both have been better than Paradis as a football player and possibly could do a better job than him at center. No Chinn = garbage list. Was fully expecting to see Tre Boston on there to be honest.

Because a lot of people are overrating Chinn based on tackles alone.

In reality tackles aren't the best stat to really judge a defender.  Tackles are often a product a position and scheme.  Would another player playing the same position as Chinn have the same number of tackles?  More? Less?  Would that player make the tackle a step sooner? a step later?

If you want to weigh number of tackles that highly for Chinn, you need to do the same for Boston.  He is 3rd on the team in tackles, does that mean he is playing the 3rd best on our defense?  You have to look at the entirety of his play, how is he doing in coverage?

Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely pleased with Chinn so far.  He is getting a lot of snaps as a rookie, he is very active, and he has definitely flashed at times, but the truth is he is a rookie and he has struggled at times, which is expected.

The same can be said for Brown, he has definitely flashed at times, but there are times when he hasn't' played sound football.  Some of his gap discipline has been lacking, and his overall pressures have be low, and before someone talks about double teams there are a lot of DTs who get double teamed as much if not more, that still get more pressure.

I get where you are coming from, but I have been loving what I am seeing out of Chinn. Hype train since game 2, when I was wondering who this player was that seemed to be flying around and always close to the ball. Perfect, no not by any means, he makes some very rookie mistakes, but effort wise was my point. I have been pounding that he looks like a young version of TD out there. We have and continue to have a few folks on this team that do not seem to push as hard, a great example would be KK. Also, my inclusion of Charlton and Slye weren't by mistake as both have performed admirably albeit a missed history setting fg away from maybe more being made about it and the horror stories of the ricochet punts in camp.

    • So the last guy who had the job got hired by his former team directly into a role he has no direct experience in?
    • Hard to pass up millions for a couple of days work per week for a coaching gig in the NFL that is 60-80 hours each week during the season and a more relaxed 50 hours a week during the off season. Yeah, I'd love to see him as our DC but hard to see him giving up the cushy job there if he gets it. And he's going to be a great commentator for the network.
    • Really, I think that is where negotiations come in. If you've got a QB getting you to 10 wins but statistically he's not a great performer, then you say look you can take $22 million or you can try it on the market. Because let's face it, out there, any leadership skills that we're seeing aren't going to be on the table, it's just going to be performance and that lands him in the QB2 market, which is much, much less lucrative (although any of us would love that money).  No one is saying that Bryce will be a $50 million QB, barring something short of a miraculous jump. I'm just saying that if we are winning somehow with him at the helm, then it would be fuging stupid to dive back into the rookie pool all over again. Let's say we do hit the 10 win mark, heck, let's call it 11 and a second round in the playoffs. I think we can all say that would be a really uplifting result and one that should be doable if we have good play. What do we do then? Here's what I would offer if I were Morgan and Tepper. $25 million a year for 3 years, each year with up to $10 million in incentives for touchdowns, wins, playoff depth, being under 10 interceptions, completing a full season, passing yardage milestones, taking less than 15 sacks. Look, Bryce isn't a Ferrari, he isn't a Corvette, or a mid-level BMW. He's probably a new Toyota Sienna that will definitely get you somewhere and bring the whole team along with it, no fuss but not a lot of pizazz.  And really, it's about the destination, not about what drove you there.
