What makes it the clear answer?

Hes better at everything with WR terms(hands, route running, YAC, blocking, etc). Samuel can do other stuff, but both have returner skills. Samuel mayy have him beat is getting separation, but Samuel mainly does that form slot. It wasnt until CMC went down til Samuel proved his hands where good. Moore had 1,200 yards last year with broken CAm 2 games, Grier 1 game, and rest with Allen. I think Samuel only got 700 at his best. Honestly all three WR are great complement to each other.

Samuel is being primarily used as a gadget player. He's Percy Harvin. He useful but hard to argue he's a starting quality receiver.

What???? He had 100 yards receiving yesterday. If anything he's probably under utilized in that department because he has to share the targets with Moore and robby... I think he could do more if he was the 1 or 2 read consistently.

How about this- Can Moore do better at Samuels role, than Samuel doing Moores?

Yes Moore is better than Samuel, Samuel’s biggest asset can’t be utilized with teddy either, which is being a deep threat, was hoping to see if he could develop into something like will fuller or tyrek hill

Hard to say... those guys are defacto number 1 out of need. Samuel has never been forced or counted on to be that guy. Could he still become that??? I dont think its out of the realm of possibility. And at the same time he can do things those guys cant.

So I love this question for a few reasons but the answer to me is simple, DJ Moore has the stiff arm of a 350lb lineman and routes like knives, he is a player I look at as a more physical and maybe faster amari cooper, low key demeanor, excellent routes, and improved release off the line. Curtis Samuel on the other hand, reminds me of another player sharing his last name , and that man is Debo Samuel, his running abilities and speed are perhaps even more dynamic from a talent perspective than the latter. With the talent we have on offense including at Qb, we compare favorably to another nfc powerhouse, the 49ers. The reason I believe that is because minus the hall of fame talent they have at TE we have similar preferences in receivers and backs, men who are dangerous ball carriers who are multi talented, we lack however their line, and in some ways our scheme is catered to a different play style, but I feel we could incorporate more of the misdirection principles and spread the ball to these weapons more effectively and become a real problem for our opponents. So to answer the question directly, I believe DJ is better, but Samuel could be far more important to this offense moving forward than he is currently.

Well Samuel had his chance to take that spot when he was originally drafted, but injuries derailed him.

Moore, is like a motivated amari cooper. Silent killer, he has all the tools to be a dominant wr, he just needs to be more assertive on his targets, but I feel the coaching staff should do something about it instead of him having to voice it

I think the short answer is “yes”; Dj has developed into a far more complete route runner. Both had a ways to go in that respect coming into the league, but DJ is now often running the deep routes. These snapshots popping up week to week of him being “wide open” are a testament to that.
However, I do understand why you’d pose this question given the production we’re seeing. I can only say that it’s really hard to evaluate the performance of the long passing game with the ramshackle line we are putting out. Injuries and a talent deficiency are taking their toll. There was a play in the chief game, I believe either late third q or 4th, that exemplified the issue of this thread. DJ beats his man on a fly route, Teddy takes the throw but a poorly blocked defender catches hIs leg on the release. It falls incomplete, but frankly It was an easy pick if any defenders have eyes on the qb rather than chasing the wrs that beat them in coverage.

Teddy doesn't look his way, plenty of all 22 cut ups of Moore open and Teddy not seeing it for whatever reason.

Oh come on. Even elite QBs miss WRs especially under pressure. Moore just isn't a number one and really doesn't make the circus catches like Samuel,Anderson, and CMC.
