Bridgewater "running out of time"

well, I'm still a firm believer Teddy was brought in first and foremost to help install and get an offensive scheme up and running.   Teddy speeds that up for folks knowing it.

They're doing a good job of implementing the "1 yard pass on 4th and 8" scheme. It  defiantly speeds folks up  to change the channel.

Teddy being Teddy doesn't mean the offense isn't being installed.    OL, WRs, TE, RBs.  Lot of stuff for folks to learn this year on a shortened season.   Teddy knows the scheme.  Knows the verbiage.  Your QB knowing it helps install an O.

Teddy remains Alex Smith.  That will never change.  You can't teach conservative QB to not be conservative.  Just like you couldn't tell Jake Delhomme to not toss one up.

I disagree.  I had 3 options to throw to and he chose wrong.   He had a chance to let the clock stop at the 2 minute warning and chose to run a play.  Teddy owns this.

Wrong issue.

The one that Bridgewater isn't to blame for is the failure of the coaches to communicate to him that they wanted to wait till the two minute warning before running a play.

Teddy will never achieve the level of play that Smith achieved in KC. Don't sully Alex Smith's name associating him with Teddy Two Yards.

Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas, and coaching.  Teddy actually threw 4 touchdowns in one of those games

And you can bet your money that Payton controls the entire offense. Bridgewater wasn't controlling anything.

Joe six pack sitting on the sofa knew that letting the clock hit the two minute warning was the correct thing to do. It gives the team and coaches a chance to gather themselves and come up with a great play on third down. Instead, we come out of the two minute warning facing 4th and 8. The lack of football IQ and command of the offense by Teddy is stunning.

Disagree. In the vast majority of those situations, you're in "hurry up" mode trying to run as many plays as possible because you're behind and time is running out.

Signing terrible players is a great way to install wining schemes? Sounds like panther logic.

Alex Smith might of been a little better but they are the same dude.   Alex Smith had crazy stats and a record in KC.  Andy Reid kicked him to the curb because Alex Smith refused the make the throws downfield he wanted and needed.  He handicapped the O with his conservative QB DNA.  That is Teddy.  Always has been.

You can tell when the plays are called.  Teddy opts out.  Alex Smith opted out.

That was me when we signed him. I knew what was coming.

Yep. A lot of people only looked at his win-loss record at Minnesota and New Orleans ignoring that those were elite rosters and that his play was doing nothing to elevate them. Now we're seeing Taysom Hill replicate what he did. People should be waking up.

Reid saw an opportunity to snag an elite talent and pounced in it. Smart. But just because Smith and Teddy have some of the same characteristics doesn't make then the same guy. Best vs. best, Smith was a lot better than Teddy will ever be but still not elite.
