Fields over Wilson . . . barely.  I think those two are neck in neck as far as fitting the system that Rhule / Brady want to run.  I'd say there's a gap to Trask who fits.  Lance is too much Cam lite for this system.  I don't know enough about Mac Jones to place him yet.

I've been in a tussle over Fields, Wilson, & Lance.  It's just really close and I like all in their own ways.  I've had a feeling about us and Wilson just matching and aligning with what we want come draft time.  So gut feeling he's the one but want Fields the most.

I just don't know though.  I've heard in my limited scouting circle window about Jones being quite lauded.  Could be one of the most interesting QB groups in forever.

At least I've seen Darnold make good throws at an elite competition level. He just has nothing to work with in the Jets. I have not seen that of Fields (who's bailed out by the elite talent around him all the time). I don't love Darnold or think he's a all-pro, but in terms of unlocked potential he's just as good as any of these guys and wouldn't require a first round pic.

This is your guy?  Yea.  No thanks.  I'm not saying it's all his fault in NY, this is the Jets after all.  Maybe he'll turn into a real QB somewhere else, but I don't want to bet our franchise on a guy who hasn't looked very good against actual NFL competition.

      I don’t go back and look at the espn but there live it definitely said 1 shot 1 goal when it happened. I guess they had not added them yet. Still allowing goals that early is rough. Blue line is a total disaster still. Even with Slavin back. Miller and Nikishin keep making mistakes after mistakes.

      I generally disagree with the concept of picking a position because of value early in the draft. For instance, if there's a really good safety, RB or ILB at pick 10, I'm choosing him over a project WR or DE. Better players make the team better. A bunch of ok players will give you an ok team. The number 1 goal of the draft should be to improve the overall talent on the team. Not to fill positions of need.  Deciding beforehand that you're picking a LT in the first or second round because Ickey went down is not the way to improve the team. Now if Dan has similar grades on 2 or 3 players and one happens to be a LT, then yeah go for it. But don't pass on your guy at ILB because you have a gap at LT or need to improve the pass rush with a DE. When those guys don't pan out then you haven't improved your team. But that LB could have been a franchise cornerstone for years to come. See Luke Kuechly and Christian McCaffrey.
