Bucs-Lions could be kind of a "what if" game for us. Because a few of their coaches are out due to covid protocols (including interim head coach Darrell Bevell) the Lions offense will be called by  QB Coach Sean Ryan.

Ryan was heavily rumored to be the Panthers choice for OC before the name of Joe Brady popped up.

The Lions are straight trash. Good grief. Stafford needs to get out of this dumpster fire while he still has some tread on the tires to have a fighting chance to actually compete.

Stafford got hurt in the first series and the Bucs are steamrolling the Lions defense.

This one could get really ugly.

Just spit balling here, but let's say we don't love the QB options available in the 1st. Let's say that Lawrence and Wilson are gone and we're not super high on Fields or Lance (again, just spit balling here). Let's say the Lions are willing to trade Stafford for our 2nd and a 3rd next year?

What do you do?

Honestly, I do it and I field offers for that pick for a team trying to move up to get Lance or Fields.

I've never been that big a Matt Stafford fan, but if the question is whether he's better than what we have, yeah probably.

I can't recall a blow out of this proportion in the NFL in a very long time..  34 to 0...in the first half.  Wow.

This game was probably already a mismatch anyway but as it is the defense is being called by a position coach.

If we aren’t picking Lawrence, Fields, Wilson, Lance or Sewell I’d be willing to take the DE from Miami who sat out this year, Kyle Pitts, or trade back and still hope for the DE or Pitts. Possibly even JaMarr Chase. If we let Samuel walk away I’d like to keep the team with three really solid pass catchers to go with CMC. Pitts solved red zone issues. The DE makes the entire defense better when the QBs have no time to throw with Burns on the other side and Gross Mayos rotating in. You give us Stafford and I think we are close to a playoff time when you add in one of those guys.
