If the Bills win the Super Bowl...

Exactly. And since then, Josh Allen has ascended. Kind of reminds me of Teddy B. You know he’s not the answer long term. So find the damn answer. Nope, we’ll be lucky to get one in April. Sigh.

Josh Allen went #7 after the Bills traded up from 12.

Turns out not tanking wasn't a big problem for them.

Like I said before we're not out of it. If we want Fields or Wilson, whichever remains, all we'll need to do is trade with the Eagles.

Lol. Building a winning culture? Kind of easy when your QB is an MVP candidate, no?

He has been building that culture since he got hired.  Long before the Allen came along.  You realize a team doesn't just exist because the QB is having an MVP season. They have a defense too and should have one more win had it not been for the Hail Murray.

Anyway I've closely followed the Bills since McD went there. What a fabulous defense he's built. Josh Allen's growth has been remarkable but that defense has been very, very strong for Buffalo as well.

Not sure if they can beat the Chiefs this season, they're super goddamn hot (but very mortal) but they're who I'm bandwagoning this season.

Yeah you're right the defense McD built that had been carrying the team before Josh Allen made his jump this year and trading for Diggs who's playing like a top 5 guy has nothing to do with it.

Sure. But, the past few years they had a shitty QB in Tyrod, got rid of him for Allen. And their defense has been solid, but they took an extra leap with steady QB play, no? We'll just ignore that to fit our narrative? Ah, gotcha.

So, we just gonna ignore how they've taken a step this year? Winning culture or not, having an MVP candidate sure does help a lot. Huh?

Let's just ignore that for our narrative, because that's what's hot on the street.

all you have to do is look at Huston to see that building a winning franchise takes more than a superstar QB friend.

On top of that they just made the playoffs last year? Hell they made the playoffs with Tyrod. Josh Allen is a part of it but he's not *the* answer.

LOL. Or just not shitty management, or shitty coaching. Which, go figure. Was exactly the problem here. Bad QB play (this still exist), shitty coaching, shitty management. Houston has one problem fixed. Now onto getting a coach and GM that isn't hot ass.

you're straight up just...kind of proving my point here?

I don't know what you're getting so nettled about here. Allen is great, but we can't like the coaching, supporting cast and defense aren't a big part of that.

We need a QB but we also need more than a QB. Allen didn't even turn around that franchise over night. Even if we get our guy at the top of the draft, we may get a playoff push but we're not going to be a real contender like Buffalo is this season.

I think getting a QB, and benching him for a year is huge at this point. Tepper told us to be patient, and I believe he is correct. We need to be. However, winning that meaningless game was a setback regardless of the "winning culture" BS posters on here spout. I think it's always been BS. Players will play hard for a coach regardless, as long as he's not inept at his job.

I also think Watson isn't a player that you can put the whole team on his back. Watson only has 5 more TD's than Baker Mayfield at this point, with one game left. He's a good QB. But, he's not one you can put your whole team on his back. And people have poo on Baker Mayfield here ad nauseum.

oh right i forgot you judge based on TDs uh.

Watson isn't the problem in Huston. The fact that they've looked as good as they've had with a worse defense that was 2013 levels of bad with his #1 option suspended and no running game, lame duck coach and the corpses of Cook and Cobb as his 1 and 2 speaks volumes.

Baker has the absolute best 1-2 punch at HB, one of the better possession guys in Landry and solid receiving options around him (I don't think the OBJ loss hurt that much as Baker is not a Deep Ball guy, OBJ's best strength, some other guys who aren't pure deep threats could step in and do most of what the OC wants his WRs to do.) and a capable defense. Baker is absolutely the guy in Cleveland, his struggles have always been overblown, but he's in a much, much better situation than Watson. I'd easily take Watson over him though. But I'd also take Baker over Kyler.

Anyway the culture and talent in Cleveland is much better than Huston.
