Miller showed me that he has the tools to play LB in the NFL.  Everyone wants to say he showed flashes and that may be accurate but he played on a terrible defense.  You can't expect a rookie to dominate on a horrific defense.  

I would believe that he will be given the opportunity to shine in this defense.  I am excited as I believe he will show much more and will become a key member of our young defense.

They don't play the same position.  Miller is an edge/pass rusher.   Quite talented actually.  I was disappointed that he opted out last season,  although it's his decision,  not mine. 

I see a lot of fans (not just you), have forgotten of him and his talents due to him not playing this last season.

He learned every LB position in college. Saban does that with almost all his LBers. He likes them to be interchangeable. He's 245 lbs, definitely undersized as a DE. He's listed as LB/DE, and as I said, depends on which direction Snow wants to go.

KB is out because he was lazy, have you seen reports of Miller being lazy and adding pounds of fat?

KB was out his second year, not by choose, but still. 

KB got a second chance, his second season at the Bills and a third when picked up by Kansas...

Why are we still talking about him....

My KB comment was just for fun and not related to Miller, Miller's choices or your comment. If you read through a few comments back, you would see where I am a huge fan of Miller.

      I feel like this was the case with River and McDermott defenses as well, we just had the jimmies and the joes to overcome these deficiencies with all pro players at edge and linebacker positions.  Even then, was extremely frustrated in 2015 when we'd let team come back from 20+ pt deficits playing prevent only to barely win at the end.

      We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes. When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down.
