I responded to you in a civil way, and you respond like that. It's no wonder you hang out in the TB, you're no better than half the people in here.

Davis said what he said for a real reason. If you can't figure it out, you're either jealous, not educated, or angry he married a white woman, lol.

And yes, THAT was not civil.

Where in my post did I make any of those insane assumptions that you just came up with?

The question he was asked had NOTHING to do with his wife.

Try to keep up.

So awkward.

Why did he feel the need to even mention his wife in response to that question?

Really?  He did that because maybe he doesn't want to be defined by how much melanin he has or the lack of how much his wife has.  I'd like to hear/see the exact question posed to him.

My point is, if you THINK about it, you'll realize why he brought her up. It's not that difficult to grasp. He answered the question they asked, and added something to it.

The fact that people are upset about this is ridiculous. So you can be proud to be a black coach but you can’t be proud to be white or have a white wife? I thought we were all supposed to be equal so why does it even matter that he is the first black coach at UNC? That matters just as much as how tall he is. Imagine the headline reading “first 7ft tall coach in history”. He is clearly clowning all you race baiting snow flakes. He doesn’t care that he is the first black coach and neither should anyone else. He should care that they thought he was the best person for the job and now gets to lead one of the most historic programs. People say that him bringing up the fact he has a white wife was not needed. Well neither is bringing up his race as a coach. How does that make him a better or worse coach? You all preach equality but shove in the face of everyone the opposite. The only thing that matters is winning. You don’t win then you get fired. Simple as that. Nothing to do with race. If he wins then he keeps his job and gives redemption to UNC. You people who have a problem with him bringing up his wife should be embarrassed of yourselves. You can be proud of being white just like you can be proud of being black. Stop shaming white people for being white. They were born that way. They have no choice what color they are born.

Right? Imagine if he was a white coach with a black wife and brought her up. She would have been showered with praise and so would he have. They would have praised them for being so diverse and “progressive”. They treat minorities like they’re a trophy. It’s disgusting how you people are so quick to praise someone just for not being white. Who cares what color you are. Those people are more racist than anyone else for having that way of thinking.

Being a black coach has nothing to do with basketball so what is your point? Does his skin color make any difference in his ability to coach a team? Don’t treat him like a trophy for being a black coach. That’s extremely racist and disgusting. This wouldn’t even be a story if his wife was black and he said he was proud to have a black wife. Whether you’re white, black or Asian you should be able to be proud of your race. White shaming is just as bad as shaming any other race.
