I'm starting think this team Loved 2 QBS in this draft and just likes the other 3... I think if Jacksonville or Ny would have put those picks on the market we would have done a San Francisco like deal.. The rest of them aren't worth it..

Word it is that both days are going to include some things specific to how Kyle Shanahan runs his offense.

Honestly, regardless of how you feel about either guy, you could make a pretty good case for skipping these two pro days.

They're not doing these to impress us.

I was asking you. Show me how this compares to NDSU and their opponents.

It’s impossible to know, unlike OSU teams like NDSU don’t get 5 star recruits, they don’t even get 2 star recruits. They win by infrastructure, and I no point did I mention Lance does’t have an advantage over the rest of his conference. Difference is you are coping please for the second most talented roster in the entire country, I’m not.

They are better at their level than Alabama is at their level. Not the second most talented roster in their conference… the most talented.

Look no further than Fields lighting up Clemson who is on par with OSU for talent. Lance struggled this year against a team with less talent (to be fair it was the only game they played and I’m sure there was some rust).

Yep they are dominant, still doesn’t make an excuse for Field having the second best roster and an easy schedule.

Yeah some definite cherry picking going on.  Fields faced the toughest defenses of any QB in this draft. He didn’t have his top WR some of his line and other starters against these teams.

(yeah that’s 14 players out against the top team)

(22 against NW including his top WR and WR coach)

Yeah all teams had to play around this virus but it crushed Ohio St and the had to miss games entirely as a team.

Here is a strength of schedule ranking with Ohio St ranked at.... ONE.

Now this site ranks the rosters based on recruiting. Ohio St was 5 last year and 14 in 2019. Clemson was 3, and 10 while Alabama was 2 and 1.

Last minute news that the Panthers will be represented at Fields pro day, specifically by Joe Brady and Sean Ryan. The Falcons are sending their quarterback coach as well.

The Patriots are sending Josh McDaniels and personnel exec Dave Ziegler. As far as I know, the 49ers are still the only team sending a GM/head coach combo

A few other teams also decided to attend at the last minute. I think the Broncos were one of them.

    • The good news is that we are pretty uniquely well established to address all of our needs this season. We have $14m real cap space, and something like $40m in trade deadline cap space. Not sure exactly how that works out. But, we have the room to absorb any bad contracts. With recent rule changes regarding retention, that went into effect this season, we now have a huge advantage in the trade market.  On top of that, while we do have obvious needs, we also have a glut of talent in certain areas that we struggle to find ice time for. We are over-stocked on scrappy talented lil-guys, strong defensively sound 3rd liners and shutdown left shot dmen. Whether it's a package or separate deals, idk. But, one of each from Stank/Blake/Nads, Erob/Carrier/KK/Jank, and Walker/Nystrom; throw in some 1st round picks (and frankly any other prospects they want) and we should be able to come out with a 1b to pair with Bussi and either a 2c with size or a 2c and size.   TL/DR We got the money, you got the stuff?
    • I don’t  think 6’4 was ever considered small or undersized. Baby hands tho, yes that was his thing That’s an interesting idea, like an optical illusion? Sounds like you have personal experience with this!
    • in the 25' draft the Carolina Panthers had hired Brandt Tillis someone who actually understood how to build a successful team & build through the draft .  this team was yes mismanaged for years prior to Brandt Tillis joining the team in 25' & rarely done anything right in the draft outside occaionaly getting lucky on an UDFA such as Jalen Coker who's dad coincidentally happened to be a huge Carolina Panthers fan, hint hint  ...just saying
