The Panthers win the super bowl at 70/1 odds.

I think its a mixture of Darnold playing well above average

We lean on Cmac all year and into the playoffs

Our defense gels and is a top 5ish unit

Father time finally snipers Brady.

What other things am I missing?

Darnold is a 250 yard/game game manager who never turns the ball over and our defense is Denver 2015 good.

CMC is good for 200 APY every game.

IMO 2 of the 3 are doable.  I do think we have a top 10 defense this season.  The denver 2015 defense was insane (as was the 2015 Panther d) the lone exception was miller was playing like a man possessed and could disrupt entire offensive game plans.  Burns isnt there........yet

Offense averages 25+ points a game and defense holds them to 20 or less.

Defense forces turnovers and 3&outs giving the offense consistently good field position that the offense takes advantage of it.

We get to the red zone and are able to actually convert.

Have a really hard time seeing us win a SB this year even if things go pretty perfectly. Darnold would need to be above average (top ten in the league) and our defense would have to be near the top 5.

Also the LT position is highly concerning. I don't think we have the talent there to hold up against the best of the NFL's pass rushes come Jan/Feb

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
