He was the returner last year and he was recently cut from the Jaguars. He was perfectly acceptable and could step right in. Unless they are planning on having DJ Moore or CMC do it LOL

Welp, both people we were trying out are gone from the 53 it appears. Not really sure who we’d drop for an exclusive returner? Zlystra?

New practice squad rules allow two players to be activated from the practice squad on game day (a player can be activated from the practice squad only twice over the course of the season).

If Shi Smith's injury is not as bad as originally feared, the team could be looking to give CJ two weeks of return duty to start the season to buy Shi time to recover.

Yeah I wonder if Shi is the plan and they don’t want to waste a spot on the 53 for 2 weeks
