He was a young qb when legion of boom was there. A 3rd round pick. You look at what he’s become now. He’s a top 5 QB. This will be his first year without a winning record...

Look at his stats since then...watch his games and how he plays. This year alone through 3.5 games 10 tds 1 pick.
This fanbase sucks.

I have watched him play plenty of times. He is a good qb, and if he becomes a FA and wants to come here great. Im not into trading 3 1sts for him though at his age and style of play.

Our QB also has 10 tds with a few more turnovers in a brand new offense with a poo OL. Sorry im not ready to give up on him and throw away 2 or 3 1st round picks after 4 games. We can revisit later in the season.

Yeah, Seattle's D has sucked for years now. Without Wilson, they're a bottom feeder and Pete Carroll was probably fired a couple of years ago. He's been floating that organization for awhile now.

Winning an MVP award comes down to having the right season the right year. MVP voting is usually very lopsided toward the winner so "never having gotten a single MVP vote" really isn't all that significant.

His style of play? He rarely ever gets hit. He’s elusive as hell and can play backyard ball and is also a legit pocket passer. He makes INSANE throws every game and is clutch as hell. He’s a winner.

I was against this trade before I saw the defense this year because I thought we weren’t there yet and needed another couple of drafts.  Windows in the nfl are small. That legion of boom team had like 3 years and they were done. Our defense is almost there. And we have legit offensive weapons on this team. Oline is the only thing that needs an overhaul. I’m hoping Sam shows some growth over the year so we aren’t in this situation but I’m telling you if he doesn’t we’re gonna be in a 49ers jimmy or Alex smith KC situation.

What trajectory is that? Sam has played solid. I don’t see his needle moving up yet. RW is an elite top 5 qb. We were willing to give a top ten pick for Matt Stafford. RW is on his level and possibly better depending on how you look at it.

Dude, you've gone off the rails over this. First you poo on Sam, then state that "This fanbase sucks". Why don't you take a time out. Get your head right. Then come back and act like a normal human being instead of some spoiled little snot.

We are not going to rebuild our line by trading away 1st round picks, especially since we have already traded some of or picks for this upcoming draft. I do not see the need to replace Darnold yet or even talk of replacing him yet. He has 10 tds with 4 turnovers in a brand  new offense with a poo OL. How much better would RW have done in these 4 games? Is it 3 1st round picks worth of better?

I think it’s fair to say a lot. This isn’t even about RW, he’s just an example. I’m talking caliber of qb. Darnold needs to show some growth and take his game to the next level for us to compete for Super Bowls imo.

Yea your right if we had RW he probably has 20 total tds by now, what was I thinking?

I'm sorry, but not getting a vote IS a big deal. Defensive players get votes for heaven sakes. You don't have to make excuses for him. I mean hellz bellz. Why are you even making excuses for him? Because he is a friend of a friend?

I totally believe that him not getting votes is due to the fact nobody likes him.

I mean maybe. Darnold has left a lot of points off the board.

but again it’s about the caliber of qb and winning championships.

Russ has 10 total TDs in a offense he has been in for years and a OL that is better than ours, but he would come here and double his production?

Lol the caliber of QB. We dont even know what Sam is yet, but you are ready to toss 3 1st rd picks to replace him after 4 games.

As of today, I doubt we are even looking at a QB upgrade, our focus is probably on the OL.

No I said if Darnold doesn’t show growth and take the next step by the end of this year I’d be willing to part with 1st rounders for an elite qb because this defense is about to be championship caliber with another draft and FA. Windows are small. Gotta make the most of them.

What do you mean "Doesn't show growth"? He is averaging 300 yrds a game passing, and 2.5 TDs a game. How much more growth do you need?

    • Rashid Shaheed Born: Aug 31, 1998 (27 years) Height and weight: Height 6′ 0″, Weight 180 lbs Current team: Seattle Seahawks (#22 / Wide receiver/kick returner) Rashid Shaheed signed a one-year, $5.2 million extension with the Saints in July 2024, keeping him under contract through the 2025 season with a $1M signing bonus and $4.2M base salary in 2025, before being traded to the Seahawks at the 2025 deadline, making him an Unrestricted Free Agent in 2026.   His initial deal was a 2-year, $6.185M contract with $1M guaranteed through 2025.    Rashid Shaheed's scouting report highlights him as an electrifying, big-play deep threat receiver known for elite efficiency on deep routes, explosive plays, and reliable hands (zero drops over multiple seasons), though he's undersized (around 180 lbs) and needs to improve blocking and route running consistency to shed his "situational/boom-or-bust" label and become a full-time WR1/WR2.     Strengths: Elite Deep Threat: Ranks among the league's best in air yards per target and yards per reception, consistently producing 30+ yard catches and touchdowns. Playmaker: "A playmaker" who excels at making plays downfield and adding a vertical dimension to offenses. Reliable Hands: Showcased impressive ball skills with zero drops over recent seasons, even making contested catches. Efficiency: Finishes high in metrics like yards per route run, demonstrating effective production when targeted. Undrafted Gem: A significant value find for the Saints, proving overlooked prospects can excel.      Areas for Improvement: Size/Blocking: At around 180 lbs, he's smaller and less effective as a blocker, which limited his snaps in New Orleans compared to bigger receivers. Route Running: Needs to develop cleaner routes and better consistency in intermediate areas to earn more targets beyond deep shots. Consistency/Role: Often a "boom-or-bust" or situational player due to volume fluctuations, needing more consistent targets to reach WR1 status.      Role/Projection: Schematic Weapon: Stretches defenses, creating space for other players and opening up the run game, making offenses more efficient. Fantasy Profile: A high-upside FLEX or WR4, capable of winning weeks with big plays but dependent on volume and quarterback play. Future Outlook: His value hinges on earning a larger, more consistent role, potentially becoming a true WR2 with more opportunity and development in blocking/route running.
    • A team that wants to win at any cost rolls with Young and Dalton for 3 years?
    • Trubisky would be a top 5 backup QB with potential for long term replacement stretches if Bryce gets benched.  The issue will be price. Also a big fan of Allar late in the draft. THAT is the kind of injury gamble you take. Not in the 2nd but on a 5th-7th rounder that was formerly a top 2 round prospect.
