Would be ironic if it happens.  Tepper could do much worse, but rumor is that Tepper wanted Tomlin fired when Dave was part owner of the Steelers.

My worry there is that Tomlin would probably want the same kind of power that Rhule has.

I'm thinking we might be wise to get away from that setup.

I'd be surprised if he didn't.

But agreed, not sure we need that sort of arrangement.  Historically it just hasn't worked out well for the Panthers.  Capers, Seifert and Rhule have been given extraordinary power and have been extraordinary failures.

If you ever read any of Jeff McLane's stories about the stuff that went on behind the scenes in Philly, you'd probably say Pederson getting the Eagles to a Super Bowl victory was damn near miraculous.

He's not my top choice for a head coach, but Pederson is a hell of an offensive mind and he's worked under some of the best.

The problem I've always had with Harbaugh is largely the same as with Urban Meyer. 

Harbaugh's "yell and scream at everyone about everything all the time" persona is way better suited to college kids than it is professionals.

There was a load of talk that his act was already starting to wear thin in San Francisco before he was let go.
