Exactly. What they are thinking is they are going to trade for Watson and he's going to save us; however, he already used his no trade clause against us. And again why would he want to come here?

But yeah our defense is overrated. 

Even at a discount.  Gilmore is one of the top 3 DBs in the game.   

and we have no offense.  Doesn’t make sense to tie cap up in a player like him IMO. That cap and resources should go to building up the roster.

Home town discount my a** he's arguably the best corner in the league and is a winner..... he is going to want to get paid what he's worth and play for a contender.

Okay, then why would we resign him when we have to resign Reddick already and all our upcoming draft picks... we only have 29 million in cap and you just wiped it out there with Reddick and Gilmore. You did not touch the oline or QB position and we traded away all our draft picks. Plus, what is the point to sign a 32 year old to a big contract when you may be the worst team in the league next year........

Cap is a myth…Saints prove that every year.

We are right in the middle with cap space so Samir can make it work.

Do I think he resigns here? No

is it impossible? No

Thats the thing with FA you never know till you get there.

My point being he’s not the kind of player that HAS to go to a contender…he’s been there.
