Why does David Tepper gravitate to NFL outsiders?

You obviously don't remember the amount of flack McAdoo caught for benching Eli Manning and ruining his iron man streak. McAdoo became a pariah.

Actually I lived in Manhattan when it happened and 100% agree it was a laughable decision (because Geno is worse than Silver Platter Sam)...

...but you are wildly overstating the long-term ramifications of that decision...

...obviously because it's a convenient fantasy for the Gone Guys™...

McAdoo didn't just take 2 years off by choice. He was interviewing.

Only because it was a box he needed to check in order to keep collecting his full paycheck from the Giants for the final 2-years of his contract.

Educate yourself on the "mitigation" offset-provisions in NFL coaching contracts...

...then, maybe, you will understand...

...maybe.

Bro,I just showed you a quote that showed how freaking grateful he was to get another coaching opportunity with the freaking god awful Jaguars and you can’t get it through your head no one wanted to hire this guy. But oh I guess it’s all just a coincidence and he didn’t really want to coach….he broke up with the Giants. 😉

If you could collect full-pay from your Giants Head Ball Coach contract...

...all while sitting on the beach and not coaching QB's for some sh*t franchise...

...what would you do?

Again, "bro", go educate yourself on the mitigation/offset language in NFL Head Ball Coach contracts 🤦‍♂️

Even IF you’re right, and Ben McAdoo was doing the bare minimum to collect a residual paycheck, why couldn’t he get a coordinator job until now? His first job after his “hiatus” is QB coach of the 2020 Jaguars who finished 1-15, then a pity job with his old mentor Mike McCarthy as a consultant on the Cowboys staff.

No one worth a sh*t wanted McAdoo. Even the PANTHERS didn’t want this guy in 2020 and 2021 when they interviewed him for the QB coach position.

So what is your point here? You don’t have one other than to try and prove McAdoo intentionally took 2 years off. He’s a sh*t hire.

There are only 32 of them…a small % of those turnover every year…then factor in competition & cultural-fit…

…McAdoo nailed it in very short order, that much is clear.

You should probably 🚨ABANDON SHIP💥🛥 🚨and post up on a deserted 🏝 pal 😎🤣👌

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
