Internal Investigations

This sounds familiar...

This reminds me of the last time I heard a team saying it was going to do an "internal investigation" regarding scandalous allegations. Remember how that played out?

Who was the head coach of that team again? 🤔

(or the GM for that matter)

Maybe those guys should have gone to Dallas instead.

Jones is crazy AF, doesn't pretend to care, is in a large market with a fanbase that is fanatical and probibly isn't blackmailable like the other owners who hide behind their PR mirrages. They would need all ownership factions to come agaisnt him I would guess.

DS will get off. He is a scum bag but he is with the pack so I would guess he is safe. Ross is interesting. I'm not sure who he runs with and who would protect him.

Again, for the like the one millionth time - Non disclosure agreements are bullshit and need to be illegal. I can think of very few examples when one should be used. Just call them what they are: a get of of jail feee card for the rich.

it’s not fair to other people who may want to break the law but don’t have stacks of hush money either

I've seen arguments both ways.

Sometimes a settlement like that is the only justice of victim can get. At the same time, it legitimately feels like the person paying is "getting away with it".

We know Richardson had at least four because those were reported. Wonder how many he actually has.

Likewise wonder how many Jerry Jones has.

Yeah, I’m sure the cowboys and Washgton are going to be very thorough and make sure there isn’t a stone unturned. A complete investigation filled with integrity.

just like when duke did their own investigation when the rumors were flying about the obvious bribe they gave Zion to attend duke.

Duke AD: did you set up Zions mom with a no show job and a nice house?

Coach K: no

duke AD: case closed

A team wanting to launch it's own investigation is in DEFCON1 damage control mode. Regardless of the findings I don't see Snyder voluntarily stepping down like JJR did.

The NFL requires non-disclosure agreements to be reported to the league office.

At the time, there was a load of speculation that Richardson had more than the four which were known.

Had those been discovered, he could have been in big time trouble with the league.

    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
    • How do I activate said Krispy Kreme deal? I'm stoned man you can't be playing with me about this...
    • When the broadcast showed the two benches side by side during the last TV timeout, it was pretty obvious the whole operation is a shitshow. If I was the owner, I would play that clip, with commentary, on the jumbotron at MSG as I fired the coach, GM, President, the whole lot. Bring in your AHL leadership team, wholesale, to finish out the season and start from scratch next year.  Can't fire all the players and fold the season. But, hopefully decapitating the zombie will light a fire under the body and burn out the cancer of the roster. (It makes sense if you don't think about it...) There are obviously issues on the roster. But, you can't have the entire coaching staff completely tuned out with 5 minutes left in a 2 goal game this early in the season. And you can't trust the people that hired them to hire the next staff. If you trust your AHL GM/Scouts, let them run the deadline firesale.   ...     Please don't let the owner read any of this. Because, this poo is hilarous!
