...a writer just brought him up at the end of an article as a...possibility?

Yup.

Bottom line is Gerry Dulac, the looooong tenured Steelers reporter for the Pittsburgh Gazette and host of the Steelers Radio Network...

...is constructive on Samir considers him to be in the set of possible considerations.

Why so much negativity about Samir and everyone else associated with the team?

Did Samir somehow suddenly forget how to do capology math?

If there is a cap problem it isn't because his spreadsheet was inaccurate -- his job is to keep track of it and present scenario analysis -- he has no say in how the funds are allocated.

Jeezus the f'g incessant whining 🤦‍♂️ just 🛑✋already...

And is he any part of the Steelers organization, like I stated? Nope. And what about all the other candidates he suggested. Many who can’t get a interview. Once again, you screen shot to remove what you didn’t want people to see. Why is that? They have interviewed  11 outside candidates. None were Samir. But Dan Morgan was. Again, why would a team that knew him well want to interview him. Either post the whole story you are referencing it save your time.

Why such optimism for someone who has been highly incompetent in his time here? I’ve just given honest opinions of situations that have proven true from a franchise in horrible shape. This whole board is fed up worth the team. With good reason.

Nothing is his fault? But he’s a “master negotiator”? How’s that work? So he could be replaced by a spreadsheet. Or a calculator and a ledger. Or just visit OTC or Sportrac?

FYI: While they may have interviewed half the league, general consensus is they'll end up hiring from within, either Omar Khan or Brandon Hunt.

Then they would have an opening to fill. Which is why I think many of these interviews have been done. And it wouldn’t be surprising if the whoever between Hunt and Khan didn’t get the GM job to get one with another team soon.

And come Tuesday, teams can block interviews with other teams. Just getting prepared while they still have a GM doing the job.

    • I really appreciate Bill explaining his methodology here because that gives interested parties a chance to try and recreate the results themselves. I believe that it's safe to assume that despite emphasis being placed on WRs that Chuba Hubbard is one of the Panthers' top-5 weapons. Considering targets, yardage, receptions, etc... Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette are also on the list. Jalen Coker's success might have snuck him in there as well. I can't draw a conclusion on who #5 is though. I've narrowed it down to Diontae Johnson, David Moore, Ja'Tavion Sanders, and possibly Rico Dowdle if they're taking into account his production for the Cowboys in 2024.
    • Unfortunately business is business especially when there are large sums of money on the table. Goes the same for player and ownership. Does not make it right either way.  Why would he not want to play for the niners? Closer to home with a team that has a chance of delivering a SB trophy.
    • I don’t know if it’s him bad mouthing his former situation in public or my pettiness but either way I’m not a fan. Dude was on playoff teams getting paid millions to entertain. I’m not better that because and I am better than that. You don’t bad mouth your former employer in public. Esp after getting over paid and two, poor little Russian baby didn’t get the playing spot he wanted. Rod had him exactly where is was supposed to be.  He had a mean lip check and did defend our players. Specifically the devils game around Christmas where is our Haula on his ass. Cool. Thank you. But don’t talk poo about us. Because it make you look like Haula.    “need to get as far away as possible”. fug off. Didn’t see Burnsy bad mouthing and his play dropped off too.    sorry, but Orlov doesn’t get a pass from me. See you twice a year…
