I prognosticate Panthers draft day.

I'm not sure how many OL we need out of the draft.  The fact that Fitt said Campen came in and said he wish he could've seen more of Brady at LT (as we all screamed for all season), and his conviction that he can play there, paired with the still unknown commodity but encouraging signs shown by Deonte Brown, and I'm not sure...  I wouldn't be mad of we loaded up on it, but if BC and Brown are starters, we just need maybe 1 starting OL and depth.  Perhaps a LT and shift BC to guard.  I think BC can be a great LT, but I think if we could get a franchise guy there, he could be an all-pro-type guard.

All that being said, ideally, I would like us to trade back, draft Willis, sign Cam back to mentor him, then draft another OLineman with the other pick we pick up in trading back.

Also wouldn't mind seeing us pick up a legit safety to pair with Chinn.

Dunbass Rhule drafted a LT and a LG last draft and has been trying to play them anywhere but those positions.

Looking into my crystal ball.

Matt Rhule will need three starters out of this draft to have a chance at saving his job.

Therefore...

a) A QB won't be selected.

b) At least one trade down is likely.

Unfortunately, the 6th pick this year isn't as valuable as other years thanks to a weaker draft class.

The Panthers will end up with two late first round picks and one late second round pick. They also might pick up a third round pick and have a well rounded draft.

Im tellling you right now, it might be all offensive line.

First of all, the draft class is weak at QB but from what I've read it is a pretty strong class for offensive linemen, which is our greatest weakness.  Though a weak class overall sitting at 6 there will be a couple of elite players left and the possibility for someone to trade down with.  This is my hope.

Secondly, I don't see how we will get three starters out of this draft unless we somehow pull off a trade for a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I think if we trade down we might get a 1st and a 2nd or 3rd but not both.   Our next pick isn't until the 4th round and this round starts where you are drafting potential more than starter material.  While it is highly possible to get a starter in round four, it's not likely.

I think our best hope is that we find a solid starter in free agency and nail the two picks we pick up in a trade.    There would be our three starters.

    • Not sure he is in the top ten but: His 9.99 RAS score, second among 1,512 tackles since 1987, isn't a gimmick. You see every bit of that explosiveness translate to the field when he kicks and slides in pass sets. NFLDraftBuzz

    • I got called into HR one time, as they were doing their research after a verbal altercation that I had with another employee. He was the one that started the sh¡t and had the nerve to go to HR. Well, I did the meeting, & the manager gave me her card & said if there was anything else I wanted to say regarding the investigation, to contact her. I thought about it later that day, so I used our company email and told her that I was willing to take a lie detector test, and that if he and his two friends were willing to do the same, once it was determined that they were lying and that I was telling the truth, then they would have to be punished accordingly. Funny thing is, after that, I never heard from her again, or anything about the investigation. It's like it never happened.  Anyway, yeah 89 isn't doing himself any favors with this one. He wants to fight with a guy old enough to be his dad because of Rivera's lack of communication, even if there was some perceived hypocrisy going on. That's just not a good look.
