It's about a 60/40 split for me. 60% Gordon and 40% JB. The fact that JB can't coach around the loss of Hayward almost makes me want to flip the percentages though.

It is tough for any coach to have not have arguably their best player available for a significant amount of time. The problem is there's been quite a few games that we were in prime position to win and ended up losing due to piss poor game management down the stretch. It's almost like Borrego refuses to call timeouts when they are clearly needed to teach players a lesson or something. He also has a tendency to pull the hot hand because he refuses to stray away from his rotations, regardless of the situation.

I'd estimate this team to be around 5 to 8 games over .500 with Gordon healthy, putting the Hornets around the 6th or 7th seed in the east.

Lack of Big Man/Rim Protector and our inability to score a basket when we have too. We need someone who can create space and score. Nearly every team, at least good team, has someone they can give the ball too in crunch time and they can make something happen. We don't have that.

Gordon's a great player but you'd think he's Jokic/Giannis/Lebron the way we can't function without him.

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
