I considered it, but I haven't seen any chatter that he is actually available for reasonable compensation; obviously they'll ship him off for 3 #1s.

At this point what is the feasible alternative?

I think Sam just needs to go, now. He we into last season with everyone behind him. What is it going to be like with everyone down on him? 

Of the free agents, Mariota has the most upside but if we're drafting a QB, I'd think we'd want Dalton or Fitzpatrick as a mentor.

I think we all have the face the facts, Darnold will be on this team this season hopefully as a backup and a high price one at that.

I like your thinking. This team has a competitive roster, and has only truly 2 glaring holes.  If Im fitty, dan morgan, and Samir.... Im going to want to make DW regret not coming here. These guys want to prove they are good at their jobs, and will most likely pull off some decent acquisitions before draft weekend.
