Let us not forget, many visits and interviews are made not just for interest or smokescreens, but further vetting into guys they like on the field, but may have big questions about.  And the visits can likely result in losing interest.

Houston Consensus All-American cornerback and kick returner Marcus Jones is making a sound recovery from surgeries on each shoulder. He expects to make a full recovery by training camp.

Jones returned 4 kickoffs for touchdowns last season and intercepted 5 passes. He tied the NCAA all-time record with 9 kickoff returns for touchdowns, including his two seasons at Troy.

Jones wasn’t able to work out Friday. However, he has upcoming top-30 visits with the Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, Las Vegas Raiders, a medical recheck on April 13, the Carolina Panthers, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a league source

Marcus Jones can make Denver's special teams fun again while solidifying CB room -

Wouldnt be upset at all if we picked him up in the 5th or 6th. His special team ability alone would justify the pick. We'd have our KR/PR position checked off AND we'd have a corner with actual hands and speed covering the slot along with an emergency WR if needed. Actually seems like the exact Rhule pick with his versatility....i.e Myles Hartsfield.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
