Hell sign him if he actually wants to play.  At least it will be entertaining.

He doesn't.  He wants the free media exposure.  Even Colin knows he's washed up, but saying he wants to play and no NFL team is willing to sign him (see: white owners and black QB) fits perfectly in his propaganda wheelhouse.  If he truly wanted to play for the love of the game he could have signed with a CFL team or in the new USFL. Even though they pay less, he makes plenty of coin with Nike and others. It's not about football and it never has been since he left the League years ago.

He wants to play in the NFL. If he wants to play 7 on 7 he can just keep doing workout with the top WRs likes he's been doing 😂

So you don't want Baker Mayfield (who is decent when healthy--just a pain in the ass) but you want Colin Kaepernik who was at best decent during his prime.

Move over Fitterer.  The bear hunter wants your job.

We could draft Baer Hunter out of App State to play Center.

Just saying.

    • 3 years to figure it out and the answer has been the same every time.  Think they will try a different solution? Bryce and Andy lol. I hope so but it is hard to have any faith in them to do that.  The Cam stuff, I don’t think anyone is talking about that thinking he is a solution for 2026. Just wishing we had some of his ability at the position now.
    • The time adjustment plus this weather might be the only leg up we get. Just run it 40 times between Rico and Chuba lol.
    • My amateur opinion … It’s that footwork and his overall mechanics that stop him. Short sucks too but his accuracy and timing and velocity, all compromised by his technique.  Not enough natural arm strength there to overcome it. I am not sure what another year would do if he isn’t fixing that stuff. Or two years.  If he could have things straight and squared away he could maybe get enough out of his abilities to play consistently week to week.  He will still be limited by things like field vision and what someone pointed out this week that I had never noticed or considered - trajectory on really short near field throws like goal to go situations. They said the arc he needs to clear the d line guys is such a high angle that it is hard to get the ball back down soon enough. Which boy, that is a can of touch pass worms there if you think about it. Like shooting a basket where defenders can goal tend. You have to throw it so soft that defenders can close on it. Receivers would have to use their bodies to shield.   Then you are left with rolling out to see the field and get a lane, which shuts down half the the field and is easier to defend. It’s really tough. You go looking for negatives, or impediments, they are there to find.
