Surge drowns Bear 05/10/2022 PNC Area GameThread

Two things. We definitely have the loudest house I’ve heard in the playoffs this year(haven’t watch the west coast or minny games) Colorado and us are pretty damn close but. And I’m not talking about goal scoring or big saves I’m talking continuous noise. And second, Aho is getting mean. I never thought I’d see the day. I’m pretty sure he has the most hits today.

Refs got the call in from the league office. Tripping and penalties everywhere now from the Bruins.

This is one of the highest viewed series in the NHL first round playoff history, you know they are gonna drag it out as long as you can.

Damn, I watched closely the line the Canes put up against the Bruins ‘perfection line’. They can’t do poo in Raleigh.

Here’s the thing they’re running the perfection line over and over and over. They will wear down. As long as we play our game and not give into the goon poo we will beat them by a mile

The Staal line is absurdly good at puck movement and generally just taking away all of the perfection lines strengths. Notice how there aren’t even hardly any big hits. They are just so good at boxing out and finesse.

Add that to the fact that Jordan is the only one to own Bergeron on the dot.

    • Who were we going to trade up with? The Dolphins wanted Proctor, the Rams were vehement on taking Ty Simpson, the Ravens wanted Ioane, and the Bucs werent trading with us except for maybe a kings ransom. Even if we wanted to move, we had no partner. Moot point.
    • Devin Lloyd is a stud lb but who is next to him? Prince and Nic should improve. Lee was super value but i am not counting this fourth round chicken yet. I would expect some improvement; hope to eat my words w/ a top ten D.
    • I mean I agree about diminished Cam probably still being viable. Even though it gave a preview of how teams would defend the pass against a limited QB. There was an issue with the upcoming contract he was due to get and his expectations vs the new reality of his physical status - that people tend to  overlook when looking back on it  It had an effect on things I believe   But I do have to ask… what about Tepper’s second major move? fuging clueless   I mean I would take even an injured  Cam over Bryce all day long.
