“We’ve got to look hard at who’s out there, what we’re doing and get better,” said Fox. “I think we’ll look at the whole offense. At the end of the day, we weren’t productive enough to win.” The Panthers’ 179 yards of total offense was the fewest they’ve had since gaining only 169 in their season-opening loss to Philadelphia.

Even though it was supposedly a "mercy" move, Jake was pulled against Philadelphia in the FIRST game of the season. Jake bombed then, and hasn't done squat all season. To get the hook in week one, and have only had a few decent games out of 11 this year and has single-handedly hurt this team week in and week out, the fact that he remains the starting QB at this point is beyond embarrassing. It shows the entire league our coach's incompetence. Pitiful.

Painful to have to watch Jake. He is a great guy. No one would be better for a success story....unfortunately, it is not going to happen again for him.

Fox's incompetence has done him a disservice (oh...there is that $20million give or take). But...I have a feeling that Jake is a guy who would give back a few million for a championship. Wish he could get it. Wish he had a coach who could recognize that sooner. Much sooner.

Well said.

I hate it for Jake as well. Jake is the kind of guy, that poor play just eats at him. Some guys in the nfl are all about the check, but you can tell that Jake's struggles bug him.

It's time for him to find the bench, but I can't hate on a guy (not his play) who has been nothing but class for this organization for the last 7 years.

Smart words there, man. Even when there are many here who want bench him at least gave credit to what he have done in the past & his personality, even off the field. You can hate his playmaking lately, but don't hate the man himself.

Jake is a classy guy and has represented this organization well, and it hurts to see him play like this. People need to appreciate what he has done in the past, and remember the good things. It's obvious he is done now and I can no longer support him as our current starting QB.

Fox is the one everyone needs to be mad at for his inability to change and adapt.

Fox said he considered switching to Matt Moore during the game, but decided against it.

“There was discussion about it,” said Fox. “But overall, we felt like Jake was the best guy to be in there for what we were doing in this game, and that’s what we did.”

dumbass! we all know we won't do a thing. Jake will start next week.

This sh*t really pisses me off, escpecially since I drove 10hrs to see this game!! I was so pissed off to not see Moore start the second half. Jake was brutal, I was wondering maybe he doesnt look as bad on TV :yikes: I mean, for goodness sakes I know Moore is not the answer but how much worse could he be. I am just sick and tired of watching Jake single handed lose games for this team. John Fox SUCKS and JR needs to just fire his ass right now.

Fox and Jake both are selfish. Putting their friendship before the whole damn team. You know Jake is bad, you still keeping him in there. And Jake keep talking like he can do it. You cant, accept it and move on. Now if he was just playing inconsistent, then I can understand. But he's playing horrible. Like a rookie, so take a back seat and let the young boi come in now

i think you are wrong. i think he will actually finally bench jake next week. the key part he said was "for what we were doing in this game"

"THIS GAME"....

meaning that for the next game, matt will be the best guy to be in there because we will develop our game plan around him this week in preparation for the bucs.

i think we may finally see the change we have been waiting for. might as well give moore the chance to prove himself the remainder of the season. we have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. if he sucks.... oh well.... now we know we need 2 QB's in the off season. but, if he does really well, then we may finally know if this diamond in the rough can be polished into a gem.

well....there is some hope (from the same article):

that's the most positive thing he has said about moore all year.

I'd love to agree, but in fairness, those statements are not that different from what he said the last time this was supposedly under consideration.

I'll believe it when I see Matt Moore getting the starter's snaps in practice.

Delhomme said he expected his starting status would be evaluated.

“I would assume, but to say we’ve talked, no we haven’t,” he said.

Asked whether he expects to start next Sunday against Tampa Bay, Delhomme said, “I don’t know.”

Doesn't sound like Jake would be surprised with a change.
