But it was already said they were switching due to each QB getting comfortable with a Center.. Instaed of switching for chemistry purposes..

And a question is why isn't Campen catching any of this grief when it comes to Oline decision??

You got the answer- everything bad = Rhule fault. Us fans are guessing about the whos the reason for OL battles......but RHule doesnt have a good record...

Well in fairness Campen inherited the worst olinemen on the roster that Matt Rhule and Scott Fitterer brought in. Daley Elflein Erving and Brown who got Corral blown up.

Marcellus Wiley said that Ickey should have to earn the starting job during the OTAs. Every pro has a different opinion. I agree with Gross though.

Other ways to skin a cat...... For me it is a case by case/position by position deal. Wiley was a DL as well, OL has far more to do with chemistry. Early start suuuure helps that. Learn from mistakes months ago, instead of now and Ickey is going to make plenty of mistakes...

He also inherited Taylor Moton, Brady Christenson, Bozeman, Ickey and Corbett. Not bad for a coach new on the job.

Right but you have to make do with your depth as well and seeing two of your QB's take a beating isn't ideal. He isn't new to any of this though so hopefully Rhule let's him take the reigns and get us on track. We need continuity yesterday.

Wtih Campen's background in turning late rounders into studs ... Cade Mays is the one that we should mainly keep an eye on.

Yeah okay..  Campen has a built in excuse already and no other QBS plays preseason behind 3rd and 4th string Olines..

Got it..

Ickey was going to make mistakes anyway because he's a rookie transitioning into the 2nd hardest position in pro football... Its rare a rookie LT comes in and is perfect even HOFers struggle their rookie season..

If you had been following you would have seen he was getting starter reps. I saw it at camp. He didn't get all but they were split just as it was listed on the depth chart and still is.  If he hadn't been injured I think it's safe to say he'd be taking the lions share if not all starting center snaps.  It was really only the first week of camp that he was clearly taking 2nd string snaps.

Reed heard that wrong, Rhule said "If we played today we'd play with the 5 you've seen", which is Elf in the middle. Mentions Bozeman was competing to start and then got injured

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
