I’ve lived in Washington right outside Seattle since 2015. That glorious year. Then we fell to pieces. I wore my Newton 1 jersey to much hate and ridicule. Now moving back east to Charleston, SC. Time to put all this behind and move on.

I can assure you if you wear that Newton jersey in SC you’ll still receive plenty of hate and ridicule.

What makes you say that?

Curious as well, as I've never gotten an ill word while wearing a Cam jersey during his time here nor afterwards.

Guessing that neither of you have lived in Columbia (and if not, good for you). Those Gamecocks absolutely hate Cam. I lived there for the past 15 years, glad to be out.

Enjoy getting away from all those insufferable 'hawks fans, and back to the Carolinas!

Home of the insufferable Panthers fans

When I lived up there before Shaun Alexander, they were all cowboy 9ers and packers fans. Or whoever was winning at the time. fug that shithole place

And yeah, Seattle is a fuging poo hole for real. Hell, the whole I-5 corridor between Everett and Olympia is pretty much a poo hole.

My daughter went to USC so I don’t live there but I’ve been there a bunch and I’ve never heard anyone say anything negative on Cam, in fact it’s the exact opposite

I figured if there were anywhere folks would catch flack, it would be Columbia. Gamecocks fans never recovered from the ass beating they took from Auburn during the SEC Championship game.

    • I am blown away at how bad we have been with the picks we've made. For all the hand wringing about "getting worked" in trade ups, etc. is small fries in comparison to the absolute trash picks we've made. Hit on even half of the picks and this team is 8-8 or better. Just like in most industries the "fun" parts of the job are always overrun with incompetents (due to favortism and politics) when you have a bad leader. Look at Dallas. Jerry wants so bad to be involved in talent acquisitions that the team eternally sucks. Same for us.
    • I honestly think the huddle would run this organization better. We would draft better for sure. How is that possible when these guys devote their careers to it?
    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
