same poo we had with Rivera

zero accountability, blame the players, missed opportunities, blah blah

Yeah, but at least in some of those games you could legit see where the players were screwing the pooch and missing opportunities. I seen in another thread where someone said both sides of the ball looked like 1 guys that had just met each other right before the game.

10-24

how the hell did he win 10

This post got me thinking....

Win #1 2020 - against the Chargers. Justin Herbert's second career start. If Austin Ekeler doesn't drop a lateral with a clear path to the endzone on the last play, we'd only be talking about 9 career wins. Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn fired at the end of the season.

Win #2 2020 -  against the Cardinals. Kliff Kingsbury seems to be the one coach that Rhule owns, maybe it's because he's another college coach that sucks. Kliff may not make it through the season after the way they came out in week 1.

Win #3 2020 - against the Falcons in what ended up being Dan Quinn and Thomas Dmitroff's final game after starting the season 0-5. It should be noted that we lost to them 3 weeks later at home with Raheem Morris as the interim coach.

Win #4 2020 - against the Lions. This was a team that was actively quitting on Matt Patricia who was fired 5 days later.

Win #5 2020 - the infamous game against WFT and what ended up being Dwayne Haskins last start.

Win #6 2021 - against the Jets in Zach Wilson and Robert Saleh's first game

Win #7 2021 - against the Saints. It was already mentioned in the thread but the Saints were missing 8 assistant coaches due to COVID.

Win #8 2021 - against the Texans in Davis Mills' first start and David Culley who was fired at the end of the season

Win #9 2021 - against the Falcons. Calvin Ridley was ruled out just before kickoff to take time off with mental health issues. Three weeks later, the Falcons get their revenge in BOA.

Win #10 2021 - against the Cardinals with Colt McCoy at QB. Kliff Kingsbury again.

So there you go - 5 of the 10 wins against head coaches who aren't head coaches in the NFL anymore. 2 more against rookie QBs making their first start, one against a QB making his last start, one against a backup QB, and one against a team whose primary weapon was declared out just a few hours before kickoff. That's how you get to 10 wins.

So any coach we win against, bet on them being fired by the end of the season?

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
