So Tepper would be content to make this fanbase catatonic and let Rhule coach another season after this?

Last year people said this season is make or break. Now you are saying next season is make or break.

Unless something happens Rhule won’t be coaching next year.

Also next year isn’t the last year of his contract

Yeah you're right it's a 7 year deal. I keep forgetting we gave him an insane deal. It's like my mind won't accept that he got that many years.

Some fans were saying last year was it for Rhule, but I said he would stay. I still think he'll have another season after this one. I'm just going by what Tepper said when asked about Rhule. I would fire Rhule near the end of this season. The stadium is full of opposing fans, the team has no identity, and we're headed nowhere.

I hope your prediction is correct. I want Rhule out.

I would like to think Tepper isn’t that stupid. Say we win 5 games again. That means 3 years where nothing changed and the team didn’t get better.
Last year it was easier to predict Rhule would stay because a lot of coaches, unless they screw up royally, get at least 3 years.
Oof Rhule gets to stay a 4th years and goes 5-12 or worse this season, 2022. That has never been done in the history of the NFL.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he gets canned. That seems reasonable what you're saying.

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
