That is a loser mentality. You try and win every game. In a game where players put their health on the line every day and play despite injury and pain to try and win it is a huge disservice not to give your all. Clearly you haven't played anything at a high level or you wouldn't suggest such garbage.

Yeah this dumb "rah rah" mentality ended Cam's career prematurely and is working on CMC's. Sorry, but wanting players to put their bodies on the line for empty moral victories doesn't make you a better fan. It means you don't really care about their health to begin with.

Players play the game for money. It is a business to them. So the whole putting their bodies on the line for moral victories might be a college thing but not a pro thing. If you play well on a crappy team  you still get a big contract and make millions. So your whole premise is off base. Football is a violent game but players do it because they think it is worth it. It isn't to make fans happy. If they had to play for free how many would do it? Not many. So they get compensated to risk their health so again they aren't doing it for charity or the team primarily. They do it for themselves.

Cam would be lot richer today if he had a coach who cared about his health over winning every game at any cost.

Cam made millions upon millions in salary and endorsements so I don't feel sorry for him. And when he played for Belichick who is generally considered a good coach they used him just like the Panthers did. The reason he ran so much was because that was his game. He was never a good pocket passer which is what we all said he would have to evolve if he wanted to stay in the league. Injury stopped his game which is the case with most players. Nobody made him do anything he didn't want to do and he was paid well for what he did.

Just so we're all on the same page here, we're talking about this PJ Walker, right?

image.thumb.png.34a98da050c43e201397eb23d3c69aa7.png

The guy with a 4:1 INT to TD ratio?  Completing 56% of his passes?  With 3.4 air yards per attempt?  The guy two inches SHORTER than Baker Mayfield?

Frankly, nothing could signal "white flag" to the locker room any more clearly than starting PJ Walker.

Why do you overlook the most powerful stat: W's

And this preseason he looks like he's improving

I would not want to play or have you guys on my team. Now is the time to coach like hell and develop these young guys and let them grow. It's not rah rah. It's being a damn professional athlete. I'm out.

We don't have a damn professional head coach.
