Stastny - Staal - Fast

Martinook - Stepan - Kase

Slavin - Burns

Skjei - Pesce

de Haan - Chatfield

Andersen

Extra’s - Noesen, Coghlan, Bear

That’s a Stanley cup lineup. Plain and simple. Top to bottom. Best roster in the NHL.

Is Coghlan still injured?

Yes, interesting to see Chatfield starting over Coghlan.

Don't get me wrong I think Chatfield is a fine 3rd pair defenseman, but I like what I've seen out of Coghlan especially as the PP2 QB.

Also, I guess Rod doesn't trust Drury or Noesen yet.  I would rather see them on that 4th line than Marty.

So it doesn’t appear that Coghlan is hurt, RBA said it was a tough decision and they decided to go with Chatfield. Think it could be partly because Chatfield is a better pure defender than Coghlan and Bear. RBA also said that there will be a lot of rotation at that position.

Columbus has a lot of firepower so RBA might want the best defensive defenseman out there.

Coghlan definitely has a place on this team though, he’s going to be a real good third pairing, puck moving defenseman and PP QB2.

I suspect we will see Chatfield and Coghlan rotate based on matchups (game matchups) Columbus has a lot of firepower but they did nothing to improve there horrible defense and goalie situations.

Which is why Chatfield is playing tonight in my opinion, we won’t need Coghlan’s offense, but we need our best defenders on the ice.

    • I only used it because it’s being said he can’t.  I’ve said this 100 times already but these deep passes people get obsessed with are much more on the WR than the QB. If Burrow throws a bomb to Chase and he is either wide open or makes a catch in tight coverage those both are more WR plays than QB to me.  Bryce has shown many flaws but I don’t think throwing the ball 20 yards to a player in coverage is something he or any NFL QB can’t do. He just gets sloppy under pressure and tries some Mahomes type backfoot throws that do require elite arm strength in which he does not have.
    • Again with the straw man arguments. You have Trump level of delusions about this subject.  Here, let me do you in this case.... I don't know if AT fuged your girl or your wife or whatever but your level of hatred towards a guy not even on the team is insane. I can't believe you keep hate watching all these Vikings games as a result. It's crazy behavior but, by all means, you do you.   Now...see how nutty that sounds? Go read this thread and see how emotional you are over something no one in this thread is talking about emotionally.
