I did not get the vibe that CMC asked to be traded at all from this presser. Not saying he didn't want out or made it known, but nothing from Fitterer here insinuates that to me.

Seems more likely that offers started to come in and he had to make Tepper aware. Tepper probably signed off on anything that included a 1st round pick and anything less needed to further discussion. Something close enough came in and they bit. 

He's posturing as if they are not in wholesale/tank mode because he obviously has to but I really hope that since we started down this path we continue to try and move anyone who can net us picks, with the exception of Burns,Brown,Horn, Icky, and Moton.

I disagree, he insinuated cmac was part of the process and was kept abreast of the situation the entire time.

It's basically a politician at this point.   GM stares you in the face and bluntly tells you something everyone in the room knows is a lie. 

Yes, you are tanking.  No, you aren't trying to win right now.   GM has no problem claiming otherwise. 

and yet some will still treat other things he says as gold and absolutely true.  For the rest of the year, anything they say shouldn't be taken at face value.  Not bashing them.  Just saying this is where we currently are.  Fitt has no choice but to day down is up when asked about certain things.

      I feel like this was the case with River and McDermott defenses as well, we just had the jimmies and the joes to overcome these deficiencies with all pro players at edge and linebacker positions.  Even then, was extremely frustrated in 2015 when we'd let team come back from 20+ pt deficits playing prevent only to barely win at the end.

      We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes. When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down.
