Ottawa rolled Tampa Bay last night 7-4. Last week it took OT to beat them in our house.

Do I honestly think the Canes can beat a team desperately trying to make the playoffs and the next night beat a Detroit team the Canes struggle mightily with?

No. I have zero reson to believe the Canes, in control of their own destiny, can close the season on a high note.

Ottawa is out of the playoffs they cannot get higher than an 87. Minimum for a wild card is 91 in the East. That said this is their last home game.

Detroit is our last regular season home game, so I expect a better performance.

We could very well have complete control over who the first team in the metro plays Vs. the panthers as well, for our last game, which makes things interesting for the NHL.

In other news, I watched the Frozen Four Championship last night. RBA was in attendance as Quinnipiac tied the game at 2-2 with an extra attacker inside 2 minutes. Quinnipiac then went on to win in OT.

Talk about some physical hockey. There was not an opportunity to hit someone that was passed up by either team.

Congrats to the RBA family.

Damn he must have busted his butt trying to get down there after the game. I’m guessing Dundon flew him down.

    • Miami Dolphins After going undrafted in the 2023 NFL draft, Davis signed with the Miami Dolphins on April 30, 2023.[12] He was waived on August 29, 2023 due to his in-game injury.[13] Injury On August 26, 2023, during the fourth quarter of the Week 3 preseason game versus the Jacksonville Jaguars, Davis suffered an injury after sustaining a hit from Jaguars linebacker Dequan Jackson while the wideout was attempting to catch a pass from teammate James Blackman. Jackson appeared to make helmet-to-helmet contact with Davis, drawing an unnecessary roughness flag after the play and leaving Davis immobilized and later carted off the field. The game was later suspended with 8 minutes and 32 seconds remaining, with Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel saying, "The two teams agreed that football shouldn't be played anymore tonight." This was the second game to be suspended in the 2023 NFL season as the first involved Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden after a Week 2 preseason game against the Packers.[14] The next day on August 27, 2023, the Dolphins had released a statement saying that Davis was released from the hospital and would be traveling back to Miami with the team personnel.[15] However two days later on August 29, 2023, Davis was waived by the Dolphins with an injury settlement ahead of the team's cuts for the 53-player roster limit
    • By all means, go for it and talk down the league that guy came from its all good. Its just funny to hear you laugh at someone else's accomplishments having zero yourself.  Life is about criticisms of course......And it can also be fun to laugh at those those on the other side as well who never did a thing minimize others accomplishments. Good day sir!
    • Exactly,  there's only so many "elite" qbs in the league at any one time. It's usually 4 or 5 at most. Sometimes less.
